I'm pro choice. Which would be the worst decision - aborting a baby or bringing an unwanted baby into the world who may live a horrible life?
If I was to fall pregnant at the moment then I would probably abort. I'm not responsible enough at the moment to have a child - financially or emotionally. I wouldn't want to bring a child into this world when I'm not going to be able to look after them properly.
There are situations when an abortion should always be allowed, as a result of rape for example, or if the child is going to have a poor quality of life as a result of a disease or disability.

Yeh, I too agree with what you have said. But I have seen that majority of the people say that abortion means killing a life so its a big crime and they don't try to understand that how unwanted children are treated. Also they don't understand how the life of such child is. Anyways, thanks for responding!

There was an article in the newspaper about two kids who live on my street (5 months and 18 months), the parents obviously didn't want them in the first place. The children had broken bones, were dangerously underweight and had infections. The parents are now in jail awaiting trial, surely it would have been the best thing for them to have had an abortion in the first place?
We now have two children who could have serious long term health problems, who have spent the beginning of their lives in fear and pain and will grow up to find out that it was their parent's fault.

I don't think we can say that it can be right or wrong. I think that no woman would abort if she could decide, but women sometimes happen to be forced to abort and so they are alone in front of this terrible decision.
I'm pro choice because the body belongs to women, and so only they can decide what to do. No matters if the decision is good or not, women never have fun to abort and the abortion always represents a deep wound that will never disappear.

In olden days there was no device to prevent birth of a child. But in modern days there are empteen devices to post pone pregnancy or prevent birth of a child with precautions. Taking a woman for abortion might create a lot of problems healthwise in future. Therefore I am not for abortion.

Since women first began to understand how pregnancies happened there have been forms of birth control & ways to abort. Most of that information was lost in various "witch hunts" throughout history. Those methods just like those used now have built in failure rates. Some less than others, but none are 100% effective.
Further there is very little danger & risk in legal terminations. There are far greater risks to a woman's health if she chooses to carry a pregnancy to term.

hi vani!
abortion is one of the cruel.surely it is wrong.it is always wrong.because, the situation is come for all kind of persons.the abortion is not for the solution of situation.
the child is a gift of god.so we must take the gift is correct.oterwise,we destroy the god's gift is not correct.that gift is produced by us.but we destroyed that gift by the reasons of situation is not correct.
so abortion is not good for health and life....

Thanks for your response! But still I don't agree that abortion is always wrong because in situations like when a young teenage girl is raped or when the mother's health is so bad that she can't have a baby, abortion becomes the right choice.
