When I'm writing one of my short stories, I tend to use the computer. I like to use the computer because of the spell check and because I can type faster than I can write with a pen. Commonly when you write with a pen you can get a writers cramp and your hand can lock up on you, using the computer solves that problem. What do you use when you are writing a good book, or even a poem? Do you prefer to use computer, typewriter, or pen and paper?

I'm always wondering about how other people write . I am the original Luddite ! I can ONLY use a pen , it has to be black , and preferabley sitting at my own desk looking out at the same view ! I've always admired those poeple who write on the go , scribbling scraps of poetry or inspirations down as they are squashed into their rush hour bus seat on their way back from work . Sometimes I question if I am a real writer because I am so set in my ways !!!! Strange , I've always found , too , that I write better when I am in the city !!! that's where I seam to draw inspiration from !!!

I definitely like to use the computer. I also like to brainstorm and save my ideas. Also, another valuable tool to writng on the computer, saving your work :)

I like to use the computer when I write. I find it so much easier and faster. It's great to have search engines and lookup tools right at your fingertips. I use the word program and then I copy and paste, and save the files into the notepad, before I go to publish my articles. The formatting is better that way.

My mind tends to move much more quickly than my pen, so using the computer allows me to get my ideas out quickly so I can rearrange and sort them properly when the time comes. A lot of times though, I do carry around a pad and pen so I can jot ideas down when I'm out and about. It's really been a life saver a few times.
