I have read many books, because I enjoy reading, and I ran accross an older author. Her books came out in the 60's and are still continueing. Her name is V.C. Andrews. She writes her books in series, five books per series. If you start on a book other than the first one, you may be confused. I really suggest the first and second series, The Dollanganger and the Heaven series, to any woman who likes any sort of romance. They are not based completelly on romance though. There is a lot of drama and tragidy. There are definetelly some of my favorite books of all time. I would recommend reading them to you. I posted my very favorite book as a pic on here.
What are your most favorite books that you would recommend?

I love Paulo Coelho's works esp. Eleven Minutes and Veronica decides to die. I also love The Memory keeper's daughter (a must read), Girls, Lovely Bones, those by John Grisham and Anne Rice. I also like the Shopaholic series. I pretty much like all kinds!

My favourite book/s of all time are James Herbert's The Rats trilogy, although there is a forth to the series it is actually a 'graphic novel' (a comic). I think one of the reasons this has stuck as my favourite is because this was one of the first adult books I read for pleasure and it was recommended to me by my father.
I have also read and enjoyed The Dollanganger series (Flowers in the Attic being the first and based on a true story, the last in this series was started by Andrews but finished by Andrew Neiderman) and The Casteel series (only the first two in this series were actually done by Andrews the following three were inspired by Andrews and again finished by Neiderman). Andrew Neiderman was hired as a ghost writer by Virgina Andrews estate due to the success of her novels.

I really like the book The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. Lol I feel like I have written about that book a million times. I also really like the book Love, Rosie. I only have about 20 pages left to go in it. I have read the book Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews, but it's hard for me to read a series. I have been meaning to get the series though and then read them in the right order lol.

I loved reading VC Andrews when I was younger. I loved "Flowers in the Attic" and the rest of that series.
If you like Andrews, then I would suggest another book for you. "Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston LeRoux. You may be familiar with the story, but the book is so moving, sad, & romantic. Just a story that keeps you involved. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did. :)
