If some one is born and raised in America and there black, why do they call themselves African American? What if there originaly from Jamaica? It just doesnt make sense. Unless some one was born in Africa than moved to America they shouldnt call themselves African American. What do you think?

"black" can be an offensive term. especially if you say it the wrong way. "african american" represents the fact that our ancestors are african, and we are american. and for your info my grandpa is all african. and why are you so fixated on racial titles? is it going to kill you? are you really losing sleep over this crap?
did it ever occur that i'm not black i'm brown. don't call me any form of ngger. and in spanish black comes from negro in spanish and negro in latin means ngger. i honestly can't believe this idiotic question. how old are you 12? if so GO GET A LIFE.
