recently i have just bought a copy of nero7 and am having problems burning films which i have downloaded to my computer from the net. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what format i need to convert the files to so i can burn them to a dvd and watch them on my home dvd player. do i have to burn them as data files etc with nero or what. i am not exactly an expert with these things and need clear guidance, if anyone can help i would be of great help.

If you got a movie file like .AVI, ConvertXToDVD (http://www.vso-software.com) is the software to have. I then use Nero to burn it into a DVD.
I use ConvertXToDVD because it ease of use. It does menus, chapters, Pal/NTSC, DVD-5/DVD-9 and it can also burn directly to DVD after the conversion.

if you have nero 7 ultra you're gonna have to do a couple of steps. first use the nero vision in the nero startup folder then convert your file to dvd format (this may take as long as the movie itself depending on you machine) then just follow the instructions and burn the converted files to a DVD. there are other steps than these but im not quite familiar with the procedure
