Is it biblical to receive a sperm donation? If a married, couple wants to have a baby but the male is unable to produce sperm, is it ethical for the women to receive a sperm donation from an anonymous donor?

Since I'm not a Christian, I wouldn't be able to comment whether accepting a donation of sperm is biblically acceptable or not, but I feel that everybody has a right to be a parent and if they cannot conceive by regular means, they should have an option to conceive in other ways too. You might suggest adoption as an alternative, but it too has a lot of issues associated with and and a lot of rules governing it. In my country for instance, you might have to wait for years in order to be allowed to adopt a child, and the process is uncertain, so any other technique, including accepting of donor sperm is considered more acceptable.

Having a child by another man is adultery, whether it's done scientifically or not. Would anyone sanction a woman sleeping with another man because her husband was impotent? (I probably shouldn't have asked that) It's the same thing. Just because it can be done scientifically, without a human, so to speak, doesn't make it right.
God gave us laws for our own good, to help us to live good lives. Twisting them to suit ourselves only allows us to fool ourselves. The results of that is still destructive.

I don't know how to react. This problem has caused marriages to breakdown. If science has offered a solution to save the sanctity of marriage, would it's application by bad or evil? You may wanna check this article for your consumption...

dont try to find an answer for every modern thing in the bible. the bible dont know much about sperm donation, right? listen to your heart. do you think its ok? its in the spirit of jesus? thats the question, and not if its in the bible. by the way, if a jewish man was not able to make her woman a baby, he could bring her to his brother to do that for him, thats old jewish law and written in the bible. is this much different from sperm donation?
