from a recent article i read, there's an opinion that 'Spongebob is a gay icon'..
we know that spongebob has two round eyes and a long thin nose
due to its shape, it is considered as a shape of a male genital
not only this Spongebob character, the character Squidward too considered as a genital figure
i disagree with the opinion
this cartoon is really really funny
and i think it's way too far from the gay image
what a great imagination those people have
what do you think??
or am i wrong??

That is the dumbest thing they could think of to say about spongebob not to mention perverted spongegbob is a great family show and wouldnt represent that. I agree with you and think those acusers are out of there mind to even come up with that asumption

Wow I have never really thought of Spongebob in that way; now everytime I watch that cartoon I'm going to have an altered view of him! I hate the way media critics try to put a label on everything though. They did the same thing with that Teletubby Tinky Winky or whatever his name is. I think people should just leave stuff alone, after all, it's just a little kids show!

i agree with you. i don't think spongebob is gay in any way. now, he may be a bit girly lol, but it is a funny cartoon and the characters all care about each other. i think some people just have nothing better to do then to pick apart things and try to stir something up.

I don't think that spongebod is that kind of icon it is gust a cartoon people should not tack cartoons to such a serious extent to say someting is or has those kinds of tendinces. mybe he is but maybe he aint it all dipends on your own interpritation of the shows that you whatch. if someone wants to make that kind of interpritation they have the right to say what they want and no one can stop them if they want to put tat kind of thing on paper then they have the right to do so
