Julia Cameron, author of The Artist's Way and the Vein of Gold suggests that in order for us to learn more about ourselves and our world, we should start our own creative cluster ( a group of people meant to inspire and encourage undertakings with/for each other ). This myLot seems to have a great idea as it has started a wonderful community of people discussing things they are interested in. So, I am going to use this discussion as a way to start a creative cluster.
To make things more specific, this is aimed at freelance writers who are seeking freedom from the 9-5 by exploring ways to make money reading and writing about the topics they love. This group will be aimed at not only beginning freelance writers but also to those writers who have successfuly achieved this type of freedom. Your insights and suggestions are motivating, inspiring and useful. For those who are beginning, I hope you share your stories, your fears, your questions here.
Together, I hope this cluster will be a supportive way to continue to learn, grow and achieve a level of freedom by loving what we do and doing what we love.

I'm so glad you started this topic of discussion and wish more people would have replied by now. I'm a freelance writer, have been since 1999, and I've been on a medical hiatus since late 2005. I'm stringing things back together slowly, but surely and I believe belonging to a creative cluster will be beneficial to these efforts. There's a LOT of hard work involved with freelance writing careers, so having a support system in place is essential.
