Have you finished reading the whole Bible? How did you do it? Do you read the Bible everyday? I have yet to read all the books in the Bible. But I try to read some Bible passages daily for my reflection and messages. How about you?

No I never have read the bible. To me the bible is nothing more then a bunch of stories that have been passed down through the centuryies and had stuff keep added to it. Also it has been re-written a few times now so how do we believe anything in it? The bible has some incredible stories in it, good enough for the movies but as for being true I bet half evne that is probably not true. Who knows though maybe someday there will be some hardcore proof that everything in the bible really did happen but then again maybe we will always be left wondering.

I think if one has faith, there will be no need to wonder. Thanks for your reply.

Before i used to read the bible everytime i wake up and before i go to sleep. But now, i only read the bible when i am in the church. At some point, i feel guilty not reading the bible. Maybe i have only read around 5 books in the bible then i stopped.

I also feel guilty when I do not read the Bible. I want to read even just a few verses everyday but sometimes I still am not able to do so. I hope through God's grace we can read a few verses daily so we will have the weapon to face the day.

I am still working on it. I am almost done the old testament. My mother is also reading the bible bit by bit. I wonder how long it'll take us to get completely through it. It's not exactly what one would consider as light reading.

It really can't be read that fast because sometimes we need to reflect on something too. For me, I have read up to Exodus in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, I have read the 4 Gospels. I still have a long way to go.

Yes. I have completed reading the Bible three times. And I plan to do that once in a year. I read 4 chapters a day. I started with one chapter from Genesis, then one from Ezra, and one from Matthew and one from Acts. I read it everyday. If there are days I missed it due to some unavoidable circumstances I take extra time to read the passage due the following day. But generally I am able to read 4 chapters a day...reflect upon those 4 chapters. And I find the whole thing quite exciting.

That is great. But is it easy to on a whole chapter? Sometimes one chapter has many topics to reflect about.

No, not everyday. I'm reading a Daily Bread book everyday that has bible verses in it.

I also like daily verse guides where I can reflect because sometimes reading one book of the Bible is too much to take in one reading.
