An RSS feed is an up-to-date website that you can link with so that they will post whatever you've been posting on your blog. I have to tell you that I don't subscribe to any of them as Blogger (the site where I post both my blogs) used to have a real problem with them in terms of publishing. I just link with Technorati right now and that's it. Don't feel bad if you feel like you are ignorant about these things. You're right about everyone having to begin somewhere. The only way you will learn is to ask questions.

Thanks for helping out
I use http://www.pingoat.com (includes technorati) and http://pingomatic to get my blogs pinged
Since they are fairly new blogs I just started doing the pings everytime I update my site
Some sites have the RSS feed built in I believe but I could be wrong That happens uopn occasion LOL
YOu seem to know how it is done. So how about another question here
How do you create a link back to another site or blog?

Nope you are definitely not dumb
No question is dumb. We all learn from asking right?
So with that said I sit here with you until we get an answer. OK LOL
I haven't a clue either (embarassed not) I agree we all have to start somewhere.
So let's struggle through this together. I will try and do a search to see what I can come with.
Which program are you using to create your blog?

Accordingly it's nice to use RSS but if we aren't familiar with it, just don't use it. Your blog will be alright without using the RSS feed. My friend who has many blog sites does not use RSS feeds. But if you want to use it, there are instructions there that may be followed. We were all born innocent, knowing nothing. But as we grow, we learn and keep on learning as the process of learning is endless. Nobody can brag that he knows everything. It's only God who knows all things. You and we are not dumb, just lacking the necessary knowledge which we anyway can acquire as necessity requires.
