Would you rather have a long haired cat or a short haired?

I agree with you -- they are high maintenance. I've had a few Persians and there was always hair all over the place. I do miss them though. The Persians are beautiful cats.

Definantly short coated. I have 2 Russian Blues so they are minimal moulters as well. I would not have the patience to be grooming a long haired cat everyday.

I love both, but I've only ever had cats with short hair. I do know that long haired cats are very high maintenence and I've seen some dreadfully neglected long hairs who needed all their fur cut off because it was so matted. A lot of people just don't realize the work that comes along when they take a long haired cat.

i have had long haired pedigree cats.... and normal moggy cats with long and short coats..... i dont mind either... as long as they got a good personality.... at the momnet we have 2 rescue kittens which are the uglyest things you have ever seen.... but they are sooooooo loveing.... and great personalities....

Exotic short hairs are my fave-- basically short haired persians
