Lemonade or sour grapes? Which of these describe your outlook?

When life serves up a series of unfortunate circumstances are you the type that may initially react with disappointment but eventually will sift through to find the good and make the best of out of what has been handed to you? Or when this situation occurs do you tend to be the one that is just stuck in the mire and can't move through it...essentially accepting what your given and destined to live with it? It is like the old saying of "if life gives you lemons, do you make lemonade?"....or the theory of bad things can't be changed and you can do nothing with the sour grapes you've been handed. Which are you? Were you always that way? Did something happen in life that changed your way of reacting to the bad that occurs? Evaluate yourself and your actions or reactions to life and it's offerings and share what you will.

Oh yes I find myself being disappointed when I receive a series of unfortunate circumstances, yes I do react with disappointment, and I do try to find the good out of it. I do get through it though I have learnt to do most of this I will not let it keep me down as I have learnt the hard way as it used to take me awhile to get over disappointments but now I find that life is far too short to make me feel this way about different circumstances. So I would say that my discription would be lemonade.

I'm definitely one who makes lemonade out of lemons. I've been through way too much to allow anyone or anything to get me "down" and out. I have learned that with every rainstorm comes a rainbow.. you just have to look long and hard sometimes to find it.

My phylosophy on life is to make the best of what you have. What's the point in wallowing in self pity? What's done is done, so get over it! Life is full of knocks and I look on them not as failures, but as a learning lesson, or put it down to experience, call it what you like. I'm sure you can even make something out of sour grapes! lol.

I have made a point of being a "Lemonade" person. I will not allow myself be dragged down with being a "Debbie Downer"
