I've been seeing the commericals for Dirty Dancing back in the theaters for its 20th (I believe) annivesary. I never really thought it would be in our area cause it said selected theaters... Well I just happened to go look and sure enough its three of the theaters near us. May 1st and May 2nd are the only two days it'll be there and I am so tempted to go see it. I love this movie. Just thought I would let you all know in case you haven't seen the commerical & see if its in a theater near you - http://fathomevents.com/

Ah man! It doesn't show any in my area!!!! See! I knew I was in a Podunk town! LOL I loved Dirty Dancing!!!! I have even made my daughter sit through it! ha ha Of course, she is a teenager. And that was when I saw it....ok, I was pre-teen. ha ha But still. I loved the movie! :) I guess since it is not showing in our area, maybe we will break out the DVD and watch it again. :D

No where near me either!! I'm so disappointed! I love that movie!! I first seen it when I was in a pre-teen too. It's my mom's favorite movie! Of course during the 'naughty' scene she always made me leave the room! And it doesn't even show anything!

Oh man, I feel so bad. I just asked the question if you would be going! I swear I hadn't seen your post!!!! LOL But I'll answer yours to make up for it! I honestly don't know if I'll see it or not because I own it on DVD and while, yes it's supposed to have new scenes that were previously deleted and such, I just can't fathom how much more there could be and if it would be worth the price of a ticket! Yeah, I'm cheap! I guess it's great that it's being re-released for another generation but I own it already because I love it so dang much and really can't say I'll go for sure.

lol its okay dear I do the same thing too sometimes, don't feel bad :) Its 10 a ticket (at least here) which to me is a lot too, but I just want to go. Its one of my all time favorite movies and I never seen it in the theater, so its kind of exicting. We NEVER go to the theater, so that's how cheap we are lol

I enjoyed this movie very much but do not plan on seeing it at the theater as the cost is much higher now plus it can be rented on dvd or seen on tv. It is hard to believe the movie was made that many years ago but it was very good and enjoyable and am sure there will be many who will go see it. Hope that you enjoy it if you go see it. :-)

I really like that movie too. As a matter of fact, I still have the music soundtrack around here somewhere. It comes on tv once in awhile and I will watch it if I am able to. I watched Saturday Night Fever the other night too. I think they said it was their 30th anniversary.

When my sister and I were kids we watched this movie over 40 times. I remember that we counted, but I can't remember the final number. I don't think I could ever watch it in the movie theater because I would drive people nuts because I can't help but saying every word of every line outloud! "Watermelon? I carried a watermelon?" "Baby? Is that your name? Baby?" "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" I could go on and on!
