Training Motivation, Running.

Discussing with a friend of mine about the running part of my training regime, he voiced his opinion that I could end up crippling myself, if I took up running then I would eventually need a hip replacement. Seeing as I am forty four this year, in May 2007, I am still quite fit and healthy. However, I do understand my friends concern, I have heard of many people being injured through running. In short to run you have to get fit, do many exercises such as sit ups or scrunches, then start the running of slowly. Usually people go straight into running without any preparation, with all that extra weight there is more chance something will go wrong. With less weight you have more chance of setting good running scores. If in doubt see your local doctor and get checked out, join a running club or take up something easier like cycling or rambling. Start low and build up, I wish you all the success in the world.
