I don't understand with copy paste if we reach 500?

You can copy and paste article from external sources and you have to give credit the the owner by providing the link where you get the article from. I think this is convinience for us to share the information in mylot, especially those long and useful information that is time consuming to be retyped. I think the reason why the 500 post requirement is to prevent spammer from abuse the forum.

Some people like to use links and references from other websites in their responses. It is easier to copy and paste the text. One should indicate where they got this information from if they do this. You are not allowed to copy and paste other members' text, nor should you copy and paste your own responses from one discussion into another one. This is cheating and would result in your response being deleted and your points would drop. The only reason to use copy and paste is to use outside information in your response which is easier to copy and paste or, in some cases you may find your post taking forever to post and you are not sure whether it will go through. You may want to copy it in case your post doesn't take, then you can respond again by just pasting your post back together again.

No, we can't copy and paste any response or comment from one post to the next. That will definitely get you in trouble if you did that. What you can copy and paste is what respondent #2 said. Some people like to quote passages from articles on other sites to use in their discussions. Or, they like to type out their responses on Word and post them in when they got it perfect. It really helps in that regard. The reason why they made it so that you had to have 500 posts was that they wanted people to be experienced enough using the site to know when to use it. They didn't just want people copying and pasting other people's responses as their own, or copying other discussions.

To forbid copy and past others discussion in mylot.Why it can do after 500 discussion? no any idea for me.

I wish I could explain this myself but I have been a member here since last year and it makes no sense about the whole copy and paste thing. Your not allowed to post others works or repeat your own so why even have that feature is what I ask. I think that feature is misleading alot of people who are just using it to cheat. If I was you I would stay away from the whole copy and paste thing unless you have a link that go with your discussion or answer.
