I just read some of the comments Australian Prime Minister Howard and others made about the United States after the shooting at Virginia Tech, basically blaming the fact that we have too many guns. Does this offend anyone else?
I mean, I understand that guns make it possible to kill a lot of people quickly, but in some parts of Australia, the most common form of killing is beating someone to death. Does that really mean that our society is that much more violent than theirs or that we just have better access to weapons?
Do you think world leaders have a right to comment on American society and even our constitution based on a national tragedy?
