Virginia Tech Massacre

Singapore

The mass-murderer of Virginia Tech has been identified as Cho-Seung Hui, an English major. I really feel for the victims, and I feel for the murderer as well. I really don't know what he had gone through to make him resort to this. But most of all, I feel for his family. The media have already released his family's occupation and location. If I were them, I would be planning to leave the country, or at least the state, as soon as possible. I can't imagine the amount of death threats the family had received. Sigh, its sad when people seek revenge on the murderer's family.

leaving the country is not the answer. It is not the familys fault it was'nt them who have rage amoung themselves... it is just like a dog that go insane if that was your dog do you know whats the real problem of it? so may be they should focus also on how they raise thier son.

If leaving the country is not the answer, what do you suggest they do? Also, even the best trainer could not train every dog. Some dogs just can't be trained.

Oh how I feel for all of those concerned. This was a major catastrophe at a time when we need peace and fellowship. I just don't understand how someone could turn like that. How one can value not only their life but others as meaningless. It is very sad. And I DESPISE the media for making the survivors lives a living hell that they are now targeted and must leave from the place that they called home to get any "freedom". The media are instigators that should be held accountable when they cause such havoc in peoples lives that they are forced from their homes.

Now, even if the media had withheld the information, it will still be available on the web. Sigh, society as a whole will not let them off so easily :(

I totally agree with you. I really hate when families are blamed for things their child/brother/sister do. I have seen many stories where the families were forced to leave town because of such things happening to them. While I surely feel for the victims families, harming the killer's family is not going to bring anyone back or bring justice. This kid had issues, whatever they may have been, they are no reason to do what he did. My family was pretty bad, I didn't kill people. My boyfriends broke up with me or cheated, I never killed anybody. I have been really depressed at times. I never shot anyone. Point is, you can't blame anyone for anyone else's actions. People are ultimately responsible for their own actions.

mom told me yesterday that the assassin was mentally deranged, thus have led to firing and killing 33 people himself included. i never know the details as to what spurred him to pull the trigger, but based on his background (as told again by mom), he was an antisocial and a loner when he was in grade school. maybe he grew up to be like that, his parents may have not learned of this and were not able to have him checked. or it could be that his family was also a factor that led him to be totally estramged from his self. its really really sad. he's an asian. i feel for him cause i'm an asian too. i hope this matter gets fixed asap. this is to avoid further complications not only to the killer's family but also to the victims' families and the students in the universtiy as well.

The mass murders that took place at virginia tech were really very brutal. i feel sorry for the victims and their families and even more sorry for the murderers family as now they will have to face the agony of the victims families. I think it is better if they apologize to the US goverment and the families of victims as a whole and make them understand that they were in no way related to this incident.
