Hey friends, it's really hot in here in the Philippines. Its summer time and i think this summer is the hottest i have experience. Oh my! Its like im going to have a heat stroke ...oh please i dont hope so. As much as possible i dont like to go out side because its really hot and it cause headache. Im always thirst and like to drink cold drinks like softdrinks and like to go to shower always. Do you feel the same when the temperature is very hot? What do you usually do to feel refresh?

It is really hot here in the Pinas! What makes me feel refresh? Hmmm... I always drink a lot of ice cold water and a pack of ice at the back of my head. But sometimes, I use my nephews small swimming pool and put some ice on the water. That's what I do this summer at home.

Oh my, is it that hot there already? That means it will probably be unbearable hot here too then soon. I try to dress cooly, wear my hair up, and drink a lot of cool drinks, especially icies or slush puppies. They cool me off pretty quick.

It's really funny that you raised the same discussion that I have started yesterday:
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/999030.aspx
Our discussions even have almost the same title!
I surely feel the same when it's hot and I drink plenty of fluids or take baths daily to refresh. You can see more in my discussion. B-)

boracay and galera are nice places, but there are othr nice places as well tht would not require a fat wallet. :) i miss the beach!

The last time I watch TV they said that temperature had already reach 38.6 Centigrade. In the office, as much as possible I try to stay inside the airconditioned room. Drink as much water as I need and take shower 2 times a day are some of the things I usually do to refresh myself. And one more thing, I spend most of my time in the mall during weekend to keep me away from the heat of the sun.

I go swimming in my pool when it's hot! Even if I take a cold shower to cool down, right when I get out I get sticky and sweaty, it get's pretty hot where I live, too, but nowhere near as muggy as you have it in the Phillippines! We're lucky here in the U.S.! It's still cool out!! It was 64 degrees Farenheit where I live...soon it will be triple digits though! Not looking forward to that!

Yes, I feel like I'm inside an oven! That's why I'm addicted to ice cold water.

I do the exact things that you mentioned in your discussion.I also go for a swim sometimes and take baths frequently and when it doesn't help I go for a swim.I try to spend as much time as I can in the AC ,but obviously you can't carry the AC with you,lol and it's especially severe when you sweat due to the heat and humidity.

I honestly do feel for you, i dont know how i would cope in hot weather like that! I live in england so fortunately i dont have blazing hot summers, however we had a mini heatwave at the weekend and i bet it was no where near as warm as where you are!
I do like to drink lots of water though, and also have a shower as often as i can :)

I totally agree! This summer is like the hottest summer ever that I've experienced here! It's already giving me headaches. But I'm thinking positive here, I'll be going to Batangas next week with my friends and for sure, that'll be loads of fun.

yeah this is the different summer season i've experienced. just staying outside for 34* deg less or more that's hot. i usually do when i do feel that temp. are so high i go to i-cafe to have some refreshment and i choose some i-cafe that have a good airconditioning or going to mall sometimes but going to mall and walking make you tired rather than staying in i-cafe where you have good relaxation while chating, playing online games and for now i just found out this mylot.com now i got a good time to spent with..

I'm in California, so it's not too hot here yet. I've heard this summer will probably be one of our hottest though. I usually drink lots of water and stay indoors to cool off, or go to the beach. I have friends here where I live that will be going to the Philippines on May 21 for the Medical Mission in Pampanga (?). Anyhow, good luck on cooling off, and what temperature is it there? 100 or higher?

It's already far too warm here for April in France, I can only imagine how bad things are in the Philippines. I myself don't like hot weather at all and I try to drink lots of water. I find it helps when I put ice cold water on my wrists and feet, it helps cool down the rest of my body. Apparently it also helps to drink tea and other warm drinks as very cold drinks make the body perspire more.

I couldn't agree more.. It's really hot, as stated in the news the temperature here reaches 38 deg Celsius.. Since last week I would really have a headache every time I go out, I just couldn't stand the heat anymore.. I also try to look for cold drinks to be able to keep myself from dehydration.

well its extremely hot here in Pakistan as well. i drink cold water to refresh myself. mostly i try to forget the fact that its too hot. cause the more u think about it the more u feel it. wear light clothes. avoid the sun, stay at home, avoid soft drinks, because they produce useless gases, drink cold water, sit under the fan. if u r outside sit on the shady sides.

hay nako, sinabi niyo pa. wlang kasing init. i always wake up late- usually late afternoon na. and whenever i woke up, im bathing in sweat. night is no good as well. especially when you're just bout to sleep. ang hirap. you'll gonna spend half of the hour or more shifting places just to get the coolest spot. pag minalas malas ka pa, ilang oras pa...
that's why, beach is the sure way to go this summer!
