Would you want to be Mr. Trump's apprentice?

Hundreds of people compete, but given the choice, would you actually choose to work for Donald Trump? Sure, the $200,000 salary sounds nice--but would that be worth it to you?
In last week's episode they made a comment that Bill (winner of season 1) got called away at the last minute for business. Apparently their current job description requires that they be available and working seven days a week.
Would you want to work for Donald? And would you be willing to be on call 7 days a week for 200,000?

Honestly I don't think I would like to work for Donald Trump. I don't think $200K is enough for all that he has you go through and all that he has you do. Being Donald Trump's Apprentice does give you great exposure and great deal of experience in the business world. He has you lead projects that you probably wouldn't get an opportunity to take on from somewhere else. If you left the company on good terms I'm sure that you would be able to find a high-level job anywhere. But the amount of stress that you would have to deal with would not be worth it to me at all. I think I would come to hate my job if I worked for Donald Trump. And I can't believe that he fired Carolyn after all of her years of employment with the Trump Corporation. Bottom line to me money isn't everything. I enjoy a more relaxed, easy-going atmosphere in the workplace.

Well....in my opinion. it'd be worth it. first yu'll get sum first hand experience in bussines and its not completely sure dat the donald will pressurize yah that much. newayz 200 gran is a lot....so i say....even though he does create an atmosphere of pressure and uncertainty....the heavy expectations also make ur Pocket Heavier...;)

Amberluv, I'd have to say that I completely agree with you! He's so power-hungry, that I imagine his employees would have to spend half their time kissing up to him and feeding his ego. I could be wrong, but that's just based on my observations after working for some much less-famous egotistical men!!
I had no idea that he fired Carolyn. Do you have the scoop? What did she do? It's surprising how someone could go from being his most trusted confidante to fired. Seems like he'd be a very difficult man to work for.
And on a more personal note as a designer, the man has HORRIFIC taste! If I had to built one of his gold shrines, I'd probably end up jumping out one of his high-rise windows. It's such a shame for someone with that much money who's building so much on this world to have bad taste and build suck tacky things. Sorry...going off on a tangent there.

I am not sure what happened between Carol and Donald, but I remember reading an article around a year ago saying that she was fired from the Trump organization. Maybe she was getting too much attention and kudos from other people. :)

I wouldn't work for him. For one thing, our ethics aren't the same. I think that has to do with his orientation toward money. Career and money aren't everything, or even the most important thing to me, for some people they are. I don't think anyone could work for him without having a similar mindset. I do love watching the show, though, and have learned a lot from it. I've also laughed a lot.

I think you're definitely right. Even his approach to Nicole and Tim (which I somewhat agree with) totally is in sync with your comments about career and money being everything. Personally, I don't think all the cash could keep me warm at night, so I'd have a hard time selling my soul to the Donald! Plus...who'd want to have to look at his hair all day. It would make me go completely insane!!
