Artists= Drug ??

I would like to express my opinion on the relation between artists and drugs. Why the main rockers or an entire rock bands have had big problems with drugs?? Jim Morrison, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, Rolling Stones.... Also in past times a lot of artists like painters, writers, actors have had this problems,so can we say like this: the way to the art pass throw the drug???
