I do.........hate it!!!... but the thing is.... no commercial breaks???...no show too... tv shows cannot afford to lose the money this t.v breaks give. They cannot rely on ratings alone, they have to get as much commercials as they can. Lot of bucks there...
If you really hate it.. I suggest just watch online..
Pay per view???...LOL... It costs a fortune to live hassle-free. hihi

yeah... no money involve when you have to wait a while before you watch the show. how long would you wait???... It works for t.v shows that can wait. sitcoms, series... etc.
but for the shows that you cannot miss to watch live???.. i.e. superbowl...etc.
have to pay first

That's why I love my dvr. I just record what I want and I get to fast forward through all the commercials. If it's live tv I get frustrated with the waiting, especially since they always make the volume louder on commercials. I'll be watching television on a low volume and it startles me!

I don't necessarily love them, but I don't hate them either... here's the thing. Number one, broadcast television requires these commercial breaks. They pay the money to the networks, they in turn take that money and distribute it to the shows as well as the employees for the revenue. Networks single source of revenue are those commercials...
secondly, there are some commercials with some great production value. Good commercials are necessary to connect with the short attention span of today's television viewer. They themselves aren't that long individually, it's because they are made into bunches of 3-4 minutes during a television show.
thirdly, and this might just be me, as much as we bemoan the commercials, they have become an integral part of the storytelling process. I know that we want to see our shows right away with no commercials, but think about the added drama when a big event is about to happen and we have to wait. Anticipation builds, the story catches your attention even more, and then by the time the show is back, it has completely captivated you to the point that you have to know what's about to happen. I kinda like that feeling...
besides, the beauty of DVR is the ability to tape things and skip commercials if you must.

I hate them as well, although I take advantage of the "short" two minute break and do as much on my computer as I can. However, getting back in time before the show restarts is a problem.

I can't stand them especially when a movie is on tv and then bam there is a commercial. But I now we have to have them and deal with them. I just wish they were 3 minutes long or so.
