i would like to hear from people over the world and in australia whether shaun tait can retain his one day spot over the year. His last game versus sri lanka he had appauling figures of 2-68. he gave away 18 runs in his first two overs with a wide going past gilchrist for five in his first over. he was only able to pick up the wickets from tailenders

Tait performed really well in that match.Remember he will go for couple of wides and no balls, as he has a slingshot action but can generate tremendous speed because of it.He clocked 160 kph in mcg in february this year.He is recovering from elbow injury but i am positive that he will be back in action soon. But he can harness his pace and use it to his own advantage. In one dayers where white balls are used which are difficult to control in the early overs, should be given to Brett lee and mitchell johnson.Tait should be brought on with the semi new ball first change uphill. Now you may be surprised why i am mentioning Tait to go into the wind in short bursts.
NEw white ball swings a lot in early overs and is difficult to control. After sometime it hardly swings and in the later overs there is some reverse. When not going into the wind with the older ball tait will not give away wides and the ball will swing a little more in even when it does not swing under normal circumstances.Secondly Tait has pace and he will not loose much by going uphill.Thirdly the cball will just swing enough to decieve the batsmen.
