When Did The Bible Expire?

It concerns me that we live in a society now where we feel that the Bible is somehow out-dated. When did this happen and why didn't anyone tell me. All this time, I have been assuming that God meant it when he said that he was, the same yesterday, today, and forever. What have we decided to put above God's Holy Word. Is there a book that can stand up against the word of God. What I find most interesting is that people now days are always looking for wys to predict what will happen in the future. I have decided to let you in on some predictions that are happening now. They are straight from the word of God. 1. 1 Timothy 4:1-4, Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2. speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3. forbidding to marry, and commanding others to abstain from foods which God created to be recieved wit thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is recueved with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. I believe in the book of St. John (the Bible scholars can help me on this) there is a scripture that says, in the last days, people will be killing others and believe that they are doing God a favor. Isn't this what happened with 911. Those people who took over those flights believe that they not only went to heaven but will be honored there. People have somehow got this idea that they can pick, choose, and refuse what they want to in the Bible. No, no,no, it does not work that way. Either all of it is true or none of it is true. The Bible says, Let God be true and every man a liar. If God did not say it, I don't care if the president of the United States or the Queen of England, says it is true, it is a lie. You can find out what your future holds by opening up the word of God. Jeremiah 17: 5-8 Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh is strength, whose heart depart from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yeilding fruit. One of my favorite scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11-14 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek me me and find me, when you search for me with all of your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. This post is not for everyone. It is only for the ones who know that they need to make a change for their future. God wants to be the Lord Of your life. Wont you let him in today? Romans 10:9 says, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Ask him to come into your life, forgive, and save you now. Then look to the word of God to see what he says your future will be.

It's a sign of the times. For me and my house, we serve the Lord. (At least I hope we can stay strong through it all). It was, it is, and always will be regardless of how people give in to the times. It's the only truth, the only way, and the only - - - only. We who believe only need to stand firm in the things we believe. Otherwise, maybe we never really believed. It's a state of soul that we find ourselves in, watching others make choices that lead them to destruction. God said, "My people perish (are destroyed) for lack of knowledge." It isn't because we don't have the knowledge, it's because the demon of apothy leads us to not reading or studying it. It's also about evidence and choices of which more and more are being pulled into that realm. "As in the days of Noah...." We are saved by Grace through faith, and His grace is renewed daily. It doesn't mean we won't be judged for the things we do in our bodies. Sad I think. People blame thier lives and illnesses on God. They blame their misery on God. They don't realize it's from apothy and bad choices.

As a christian,i don't think the bible has experied or ever will. The word of God is sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. As a christian,it is very important to build our faith through prayer and reading the word of God,faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Christianity has been divided into so many churches which lead their flock according to their own RULES.Very few still use the doctrine of the Bible and thats why followers are being mislead to believe a doctrine contrary to the word of God. I totally agree with Jeremiah 29:11-14,one of my favourite verses.God in his own will would never force his love on us,as his love is pure and gentle. Therefore as christians,we must strive to live according to the doctrine of the Bible, follow in the footprints of Jesus Christ. One thing i have noticed about non-believers(however you prefer) is that they will always keep an eye on christians so that once they backslide, they will be the first to say i told you so.. My point is as christians, lets help others come closer to God by living our lives as examples for Christ.Let us be the vessels of Honor that God created us to be so that others who do not know God will see Jesus in us.Let us as christians learn to practice what we preach. The bible does not have to be outdated or anything,it is the best source for a christian to get comfort and encouragement. Whatever problem, situation, circumstance, the bible has the answer. We just need God to give us the wisdom to understand it. Great post lol..

I know what you mean. I am constantly told that the Bible is just a dusty old book that's no longer relevant to daily life. Yet there is so much wisdom in there that people refuse to see! I look at the Bible more like the owner's manual for a human being. You know, when you buy a car it comes with that manual that tells you how to take care of it and the like? Well, I believe that that's what God gave us in the Bible. It teaches us how to life better, more fulfilled lives. Can you live without reading the manual? Sure. But it's not recommended by the Maker.

I like your analogy. That is exactly what the Bible is. Every product that I purchase, I safely put away the owners manuel. When I need it, it is always there to guide me through step by step. However, the Bible is one of those manuels that you need to get down in your spirit, because we don't always have the Bible there to refer back to. So you don't wait until the problem comes, you need to be prepared ahead of time. This is why it is so important to expose yourself to the word on a daily basis. Even if it is a self-help book or something online, as long as you get the word in you everyday, you will be prepared when trouble comes. And it will come, you can be sure of it.

The bible expired when people started listening to scientists and lawyers, and teachers and anyone else not affiliated with some church. the bible was a good roadmap to building a strong society, but really, its no longer needed. The laws set down by it are just basic common sense, but the rules are nothing more than an attempt to control the lives of others. All the scripturesin thebook will not help anyone learn anything, andwill in fact stifle the grwoth and imagination of many. itsan interestingbook, but lets face it, much of what it is based on is ficion and the rest is just heresay.

So what do the scientists, lawyers, and teachers say. I feel so out of the loop. Can anyone out there enlighten me. Some how I assumed that the Bible still had merit. All this time, I have been going by the Bible because it is the only thing that I found that worked for me. I did try to read the book of mormon once, but I felt like it was not complete and lack any real helping scriptures.

If the Bible has an expiration then all the promises of God for man will be null and futile as of now. The author of the Bible is God-- and He is eternal and immortal, same with His words. God has set an appointed time for everyone to know Him, remember He is just a door away from our hearts and He's always ready to keep in touch to anyone who is willing to accept Him as Lord and Savior. It's God's prerogative anyway (not ours), whether people would not listen to Him-- He has a way of dealing with them.

I would like to hear about this other Holy book that you are speaking of. What is the name of it and where can I find one. You see, I have never heard of a book better than the Bible. But if you know of a book that is better and can truly help me, please don't hesitate to share it with me, as I love to learn.
