who says myLot doesn't reply to your queries? i just got my query answered.

i had sent one query about my degradation in star ratings from 10 to 9 with a big slash in my score aswell!! it happened overnight and i was very surprised.
myLot reverted back with the reply as below:
"We are now doing auto recalcs every 3 days. This process runs automatically overnight (our time) and recalculates the current month to date each time. This is an ongoing process that happens regularly. Your user rating was impacted at the time of the deletion (which could have been a day, week or even month before the drop in earnings), but the earnings impact of the deletion was not reflected until just recently. The best way to avoid this is to understand our guidelines and terms and not create or reply to discussions that are in violation of our terms or guidelines. Your star ratings rely soley on the myLot users. Your number goes up or down depending on how your discussion/responses are rated. If a myLot user gives you a postive rating, your number will go up, if you get negative ratings, you're number will go down."
hope this will help all mylotters , especially those who have a stark decreasing in star rating and are goping for the reason still.

First I don't know who says mylot doesn't reply but whenever I contact with them always they reply to me.That good thing for us right?
Anyway I can't understand why some gave you negative rating.If I don't like a discussion I don't reply but not rate negative .....and for you broken any mylot rules I'm sure you didn't .
What happened happened,I know soon your star will be 10 again.I start rating you with +.

Mimpi, so nice of you to share the reply sent by mylot. I have seen this number of times that member starting this type of discussion, where they mention that their rating went down.
I think negative rating is cause of downgrading of rating. I will never ever give negative rateing to anyone, irrespective of quality of his/her reply. I feel if the reply is not upto the mark, it can be left as it is (without giving any rating.

i really appreciate, deepak. i feel, it's very vindictive to negative rate anyone unless the situation really calls for it. i never do that, you never do that and trust me, there are several others who don't. this is fairness in the community. anyway, he/ she must be having some serious reasons, which i cannot really decipher though. sad part is, he/she did it quite a number of times, not once!!

Thanks for your appreciation. I also think that most of our friends and membrs rather majority of them are positive and normally rate us as positive. Only point coming into my mind is the member who might have rated negative to you (I am not sure) should be requested with folded hands "Aerey baba rating nahi deni to mat do.... lekin negative rating mat do please".

Any time I have sent a memo to admin at My Lot the have answered me almost right away , I think the same as a lot of members here though , it would be a better idea not to have a - on the discussions as there are some people just going round giving - to 10 star ratings , It happened to me too.we have no idea who is giving us- ratings , I had good friends here who rallied round and I had it back the next day , good luck and you will be back there soon too xx

Yes that is fair do but in that case that is why good Members ratings are going down because there are to many trouble makers on here who are downrating People just for the Fun of it

i agree totally. i have no other reason except for the fact that someone might have been too rude to mark me negative, and that too, quite a number of time. he/she must have had a nice time doing that. lol..

i also suffered the same predicament as yours (reduction of star rating) but my point score was still intact. i did not file a complaint, i just wrote it in my discussion and posted it. two days after my star rating was restored, no explanation given by mylot staff but i was satisfied anyway...

It's nice to hear that Mylot Admin is proactive and comes good when we need help.I have seen slow times when people wanted admin to respond back ,but had to wait.Perhaps that was the time of ongoing developments on Mylot and hence, they were busy.Some of my friends did later express their gratefulness to Admin.I didn't know they do the checks on ratings that frequently now.Thanks for adding to my knowledge,Mimpi!

yes, they do. i think, the delay in response is due to the floods of PMs they get each day. obviously, they have to revert on priority basis. they must be having some real tough times with all the nags and complaints. don't they?

Yes, they do.I had two tough days (day before yesterday and the day before that ) when I wasn't receiving any emails from Mylot .I let them know and they not just messaged back,but fixed it as well.I too thanked them.

yep. myLot moderators have always been active in here. whenever i have querries and problems, instead of bragging it here through discussions, i go to myLot moderators directly and PM them about issues i am concerned with. and in a day or two or just within the week, i always get a reply from them. i love this site a lot!

Every time I have written to them from the contact page I've gotten a response. They are very good about that. Now with reporting they don't but I don't really expect one from that unless I reported someone incorrectly. Over all though the admins seem to really keep on top of things and it helps when they do respond so quickly to us.

yes i know that my admin really answers any quiries or questions regarding here in mylot, which means that theyre there an concerned with the site and very active. I did ask some questions regarding earning here and same as you i received also their replies.

Well, I have ben there before and Im just glad I was able to get back the lost rating. Just dont rate others with negative rating so you will not expereince a drop of your ratings. I was given by mylot a message about rating other people with negative ratings.

I agree with you my friend.Last week i was about to leave mylot because of frustrations.I have posted more than 80 quality discussions and all i got was 43 cents. I emailed mylot and asked why is my earnning so low and below average. like i was earning less than a cent per post. I patiently waited,and stopped posting while waiting for mylot's reply. To my surprise, I saw my earnigs the next day and saw an additional $1.25 in my account. My lot really cares.My lot didn't answered my emailed but it did do some actions regarding my concern. Thanks mylot. Keep posting my friends!

thanks for giving such useful information to us..recently, i just only realize we should not simply create discussion that violate the rules of mylot.. i always reply into hottest discussion .. and i'm worried now... because i don't know how many of my post actually going to be deleted.. and i really hope that mylot will not decrease my earning.. how bout you all? do you hope for the same too?

That is good to know! I'm glad that they replied to you. I did not know that the star rating was based solely on Mylot users. I guess it goes to show how important the essence of community is here. Keep posting good discussions and you'll see your rating go up in no time!

Yes. They do answer our queries. It really depends what question we are asking. An example to this is: three weeks ago i send mylot two queries, one was about a problem was a more personal query involving my user name, and the other was a question about the rules which i did not understand. The personal issue was solved with in a few hours, and they replied me the same day. The other question was answered within a week. I believe that like in any business they have priority to solving more urgent problems and then dealing with general questions. But who said they are not answering our queries, i know that i am pleased with how they handle things.

i had my query three weeks ago and they did reply... only today.
I asked them about downloading the mylot toolbar which is infected with virus variant of Win32. I could'nt download it even up to now although they told me that the problem was already fixed.
YES, MYLOT DOES REPLY...but takes time...

Hewy, hanks for sharing that information, that is really helpful. I just responded to a guy who said he had lost $10 overnight, so I guess that explains it (even though it would have had to have been somewhere between 350 and 1000 posts taht they took away from him. I guess if three days go by you can be sure you will at least have that amount by the end of the month. It should be especially helpful to those of us that are near our minimum payour three days before the deasdline.
