I am disappointed when i look back at "discussions i've responded to"...

thats a concern for many here. it seems most are not interested in discussions, only in making money with this place here. its difficult to answer every reply sometimes, because of the number of replies, or because sometimes we dont know what to say. so there are many solutions, why we do not get an answer.

Hi Augustta. I am not feeling the same, my point of view for your question, Its up to you wether you say thank you or not and what you know about the topic, not what others think. Maybe you are being silly lol... I dont know lol

you have a point augusta. i don't really say thank you to people who respond to my discussions. instead, i put on some comments... quality comments and not just thank you words. but there are times when i cannot read back my discussions all the time. it's difficult to cope up with the responses i get. but i do love to comment on the responses i get. and as much as possible, i comment on all. but rest assured, i read all the responses.

It can be disappointing at times, esp if you want to continue the conversation. I try to respond to all the comments I have gotten, some I can't becasue it is against the rules to just say thank you or I agree in a comment. I go back through discussions I have responded to to see if I have gotten a comment on something I have said. I think a lot of people don't comment or continue conversations becasue we don't get paid for comments. Personally I am here more for conversation than I am for the money I make. Yeah it's nice to log in and see the earnings go up, but I think the conversations and friends I am making is more than worth it.

I too really feel disappointed when i see that the poster hasn't left a comment specially when i spend almost half of my time here just looking back on my previous discussions/comments, just in case somebody has replied to my post or comment. I don't feel good when i see that the efforts of commentators are not appreciated by replying back to their comments. I mean it doesn't hurt me if the poster didn't leave comment to specifically my post, but atleast he/she should get back to comment on some of the commentators even if mine is left unanswered. some poster even don't select a best response and this makes me think painfully, as if the efforts of all participants are unworthy. I take my time to comment and reply, because i just don't want to add my rating without involvment. My mind is always involved while i am posting and because of this very reason, my posts are very limited. I have just made 250+ posts in a month. I rate everyone and comment on every comment to appreciate their participation. I really feel it as an honor that somebody took his/her time to respond/comment on my post. I always mark a best response, even if there is only one response, just to honor the participation. I just hope that people get more sensitive and responsible towards other's efforts.

I think it is nice to get and give comments and have that interaction. Sometimes I can be late in commenting, or other times I am sure I have received comments but haven't gone back to check and didn't even know I had. Sorry if you didn't get the comments you wanted. I think it can be a day to day thing, too.

Sometimes, other than commenting with a one-liner of "Thanks for your response" or something like that, sometimes, people just cannot think of an individualized/special comment. I do have one friend who commented someone near the end of the batch of responses to everyone who responded to the particular discussion. Just because there is no comment, it doesn't always mean that the person didn't bother reading the reply. Other times, nothing can be said, other than violating MyLot guidelines of thanksing someone for the comment. I would have responded to this a lot sooner, but it had vanished from my "discussions my friends started" list, after I replied to another discussion. I ended up spending hours going through the discussions my friends started list & could not find it. I thought maybe MyLot deleted it, but it was another reason that wasted my time.

I will respond if it is possible to respond to the Response I normally response if it has come first in and I can respond to it but if I can't respond to it then I won't as I would probably get a warning from mylot for just saying thank you

same here with me, i get disappointed at times with regard to non appreciation of my posts, but then, i think im going to get over this quickly somehow. haha

Well I know for myself I try to respond back when I can. It all depends on what the person wrote. If there is nothing I can add, answer, or debate on then I cannot really respond back to them. What I hate more though is when I go through and I'm the last one to respond on a ton of discussions. It's like I'm a discussion killer. I hate seeing that.

Don't worry about it too much. It happens to all of us. I always check my comments to see if I got a response. if I did then great. if not then I say "oh well' Sometimes people get so burdened down with the same comments that they just don't want to sound like a parrot and repeat them selves so they don't answer everyones comments. Doesn't mean they didn't read them and doesn't mean they didn't give you a rating for replying. I always rate and I always read. But I don't always reply to all comments.

Hi! I agree with all that you said but I would like to add that if we made a comment upon the response, it makes the other as he has been attended and his input has been acknowledged. Well, what a word of gratitude pays is to invite other for a mutual discussion too. After all we are here for the sake of some discussions and responses and comments though prolong the all but motivate other to post for the next time too.

ahhm yeah, I wish each response I give was the start of a little conversation but well, sometimes is just too much information to handle so it looks right that not everybody answers your replies everytime, everywhere. besides this one thing particularly usefuf that mylot is lacking is the ability to find your particular answers at each topic if any, sometimes I say something in a topic with several pages and then, when I come bah to check I have to browse the whole discussion looking for my own reply. oh and if the system showed you when someone talks in the thread started by your reply would be nice too

I don't feel disappointed .. as because I usually get a response to my posting :) .. but when I don't get response -- then I used to check that thread and will find that the user is a new user or the member is not having higher rank that will only mean that the member is new that's y he don't know what to do or the member -- used to come to my lot very rare.. otherwise all the members have a habit or replying to your post. But it really feels nice when someone replies because then u will have a feeling that u r not talking to a wall. Everybody should respond to the post.

I ALWAYS take the time to comment on all people that replied to my discussions. If i recive alot of answers it might take a while but i always do it. Sometimes I really put my heart into soemthing i write and usually then i return to read if i got a reply .- if not i will be dissapointed...

You are 'not' silly!lol I too look for comments to my responses and sometimes I might feel a little dejected to find no responses ,lol.But Mylot has changed that for me today :-D Now we will get notified whenever there is a comment to our responses.So, we will only have to go back to those responses of ours that have been commented upon.I guess the notifications might be a little delayed ( as I am experiencing presently) but it is now far easier to check the comments.That will save us a lot of time and even some disappointment!:-D

When you have been in mylot for longer time and make more friends, you will understand why, may be you will also be in the same sitaution,for me, I will read teh whole discussions and replies from other members even I do not have time to commebt on them, I will try my best to comment to some of the replies. May be the discussions you have replied to have many responses ,so that members may onl ybe able to choose some of the responses to comment. Anyway, as long as you enjoy in the discussions, it will be good. Work hard and good luck..

I don't mind if they don't wish me a thank you. I would be happy if they say a formal thank you. Does mylot delete posts if we say a thank you? Although others don't wish me i wish at least a formal thank you for those who respond for my discussions.

maybe you are right, but I disregards this point before . I only add some comments I really want to give and I don't add comments usually . I think I might change my attitude and add comments to those who reply my post and commuciated with them . but I also have other kind of expriecne : I add comments to some reply and ask some questions ,but the reply one will not reply again to answer this questions . then I will feel upset ,too . As that means I don't get their attentions .

I quite understand your feeling towards the responses given to your discussions. From your discussion I found you are a very responsible person who treats others' responses sincerely and seriously that you nearly anwer each of them. I appreciate your attitude indeed. But we can not expect everybody else would do the same as some people might not think it necessary. Anyway, it doesn't mean they do not value your responses. so just take it easy.
