How many out there miss the genius of Alfred Hicthcock?
I know that I do. I was very young when "Psycho" was released to theaters, but to this day,I have never taken a shower without at least one moments thought flickering about that scene. I leave the curtain open just a little bit. Somehow seeing something coming I have found reassuring, but don't ask me why!
His career spanned almost half a century and even today, his movies and deft production are as durable as they were in his time.
How about the television series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents? I have many of the episodes on tape and they still give me chills.
What are some of YOUR favorite Hitchcock productions?

Yes, I liked his T.V. show, but as much for his comedy vinyetts as for the stories. You remember that in the beginning, middle & end of the show, he did these little vinyetts that were sort a macarb form of commedy. I thought they were so funny. We won't see anything like that on T.V. anymore.

Oh, I forgot to mention his cameo appearances in all his movies. That became his trademark. Everytime I watch one of his movies, I always look for his cameo. Sometimes it's so short you almost miss it, but it's usually good for a laugh as well.
He certaiinly was a genious in many ways.

Hi faithfuljim.
Yes, I do indeed remember his comedy routines at both the beginning and end of his show. The sponsors tolerated it but weren't too happy about his flippant comments.
He appears in almost all of the movies he did, but usually in the beginning. It took 5 viewings to find him in "Shadow of a Doubt."
Do YOU know where he is in that film?

My aunt is a huge Alfred Hitchcock fan and prefers that intriguing type of horror to the themes seen today. She is like you and will always remember the scene from Psycho. She never takes a shower if she is home alone. She makes sure she gets in and out of the shower before everyone else leaves.
