It is hard for Christians to really be like a real Christian. I think one of the reason for our downfall is yielding to the temptations. How do we overcome temptations? The Lord said that we wont be tempted beyond our limits. How did you overcome temptations and if you haven't then share with us how you plan to do it and give glory to our Lord.

I don't think anyone can say they've overcome all temptations, but we do learn as we go. Thank God for His mercy as we struggle.
That said, we're given the answer to your question. Jesus said to "watch and pray" that we don't "enter into temptation." Over and over again, he admonished people to pray to keep from falling into it.
Your reference is to I Corinthians 10:3 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
Which gives us the answer: God is faithful. When we turn out concerns, our temptations and our failings over to Him, He is faithful to show us how to overcome and to make a way for us to do so.
He doesn't want us to fail. He wants us to turn to Him for victory. That's the only thing we can do that we can be certain will give us the result we need.

Praise God for His mercy and grace. Yes, Its true that we learn as we go. God is faithful. I am learning to turn to God and put all of my short comings at His feet and seek answers. Thanks a lot for your reply. I will always turn to HIM.
