Hi! I just want your opinion about the new strategy Microsoft has adopted towards students, towards users regarding the Windows Vista, and any other good things they have done... I used to have the impression that Microsoft is not such a good company (mostly because of the Linux forums and such), but now, becoming a student, I see they have pretty good programs for students... I mean, we can get Windows Vista for free, with a student license for non-commercial use, and almost all the development software they sell... So... Microsoft kind of grew in my eyes a lot in the past year... Adding the Office 2007 to this, and I am wowed... Did this happen to you? What to you think about Microsoft?

Hi alex ! I think you are right, the new strategy is very surprising ,but i think they earned lots of millions and they will do even more with there now OS Windows Vista and so they don't loose anything ,they just win our sympathy.
I always had a good impression about Microsoft , especially Bill Gates because what he did marked our lives (or at least mine).
I'm a student to , and I'm very pleased with my free license, i totally agree with you about Office 2007 it's like a bless for us specially because we can't afford it (not new but in the future ..who knows :) ).
Have you tried all the software that Microsoft released for us students ? Which do you think is the most important ...and why?
