The Sheriff's Office is searching for a Warrenton teen and charges are pending against a juvenile after the two fled from authorities in Ashburn early Sunday.
Fillmore, 18, was able to elude deputies in a car and foot chase. The chase began shortly after midnight when a Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling above the posted speed limit in the area of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Road. The vehicle continued to travel northbound on Ashburn Village Boulevard and then turned onto Gloucester Parkway where it accelerated and eventually turned onto Silkworth Terrace where the driver and the passenger fled from the car.
The juvenile, a 17-year-old male from Bristow, was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. A box cutter style knife and a large amount of cash were in his possession. Also recovered from the scene was a backpack that contained marijuana, two scales, and a calculator. Later Sunday morning a handgun and multiple baggies of marijuana were found in the area of Boxford Terrace. The items were apparently discarded by one of the suspects during the foot pursuit.
Warrants have been obtained for Reyes for felony eluding, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, driving on a revoked license, and resisting arrest. Charges are pending against the juvenile.
