Ants in My House

There are about a gazillion ants in my house right now. I've cleaned up the trash bins. They're not even after the foodstuffs. They're on my bed, in my towel, around my laptop... I don't really want to use bug sprays because I have two aquarium fishes (I'm being very careful with them lately because fish medication is so expensive, and I found that out the hard way) and besides I wouldn't want to have the house smell like whatever for the rest of the day.
So I'm looking for natural ways to get them out of my house. I've heard pepper or chillies work but then I'll be sneezing my way to Timbuktu. Do you have your own ways to get rid of ants?

Avon's Skin So Soft bath oil works.
Take a vacumn and suck up all the ants you can find. Then take the oil and put it on a rag and rub it on your base boards, your windows and your door ways from the outside. It will keep all insects including ants out of your home. You need to reapply about once a month to keep them out.
This is the only thing that has worked for me. I have 3 kids and they are forever dropping stuff on the floor. Last year when I found out about the skin so soft and started using it as I stated up above, is the first year I didn't end up with Ants all over the house.

i have the same problem as well.ants have turned themselves from one model of industry to becoming house pests. they eat and tear clothes in my closet and spoil a lot of food at our barrel. one thing i noticed bout ants is that they are fast in everything. you drop a spoonful of sugar on the table/ floor, just before you decided to get a broom to have it cleaned out, you'll see them all in line for another food collection. grrr... very annoying
