just over 20 years ago, long-time editor, writer and humanitarian Norman Cousins was widely reported to have cured himself from a painful disease through laughter. he said that he made a joyous discovery that 10 mins of genuine belly laughter had an anesthetic effect and would give him at least 2 hours of pain-free sleep. folk wisdom and anecdotes abound with the healing power of humour. shakespeare once wrote, "and frame your mind to mirth and merriment, which bars a thousand harms and lengthens life. and probably you're also familiar with this one from Proverbs 17:22, a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
so have you experienced relief while laughing. pls share your experiences. it makes me feel good when i laugh, so there must be some truthfulness in these. have a nice day to all!

I firmly believe in the healing powers of laughter. I don't say that it will actually cure diseases but it sure can relieve the pain. My dad had cancer and he did die from it. When I went in to visit him he was so down in the dumps it made my heart ache. I started doing things that would make him at least smile. After I was there a few days we were sitting at the kitchen table talking and he told me that he was glad that I had come to visit. That he felt so much better and that he had not laughed so much in a very long time. I carry those memmories in my heart.
