Where is the best place to start a blog?

I blog at serveral sites I belong to and just joined Blogger.com There is lots out there so good luck finding the place you can call blogging home. Tis a common thing and it can just improve the longer it goes on.

What I'm doing right now is using wordpress on godaddy.com. It's only $1.21 to get a .info domain and $2.99 a month for economy hosting. There's lots of storage for pics and files there so it works great. Also, if you get into it go to hosting metropolis and they will install wordpress for you. You can also start your own blog at wordpress.com, but the site is quite a bit slower than having your own website. As you can tell I'm quite a fan of the whole wordpress thing =). I personally feel that if you are a novice in web page, designing or html, etc, you could go for blogger. If you know some of web designing you may opt for wordpress which is the best in the business these days.

Live Journal, Blogger, and wordpress.com are all very good. Which one is the best depends on what you want to do with your blog. Live Journal is best for communities, but doesn't have a lot of customization unless you upgrade. Blogger is much easier to use than it used to be, and if you know HTML, you can do a lot of customization. Wordpress.com has the best selection of themes, allows you to create static pages, and uses tags. I have blogs on all three, though I don't post to Live Journal very often. If you want to earn money with your blog, then Blogger is the best of the three.

Try blogger.com, it is the best platform for newbie to start a blog. I try blogger.com for two and a half month ( I am a newbie too ), and I do recommend those who are thinking of starting a blog to try blogger.com, if later on you are expert in blogging and do like to make more money from blogging. Try to get your self a dot com and web hosting and wordpress.

Well it's really down to you and who you want to read it. If it's personal and you don't want many wanderers seeing the blog choose one which a privacy option or one which doesn't have a lot of members. also the themes are something to consider, because I'm not sure of your tastes I can't really suggest. However blogger is a very good one. ~Joey

I use blogger because I have been told that it's easier to set up and you don't have to know HTML and CSS. But I'm sure there are other sites too that offer the same thing but I have not tried any.

I have my own on http://www.wengonline.com and its running wordpress. I just have to pay for my own hosting and domain registration, but I can customize my blog in any which way I want. Check it out and let me know what you think.
