do we spend too much money?

In general do you find you go crazy sometimes? Buying things that you could quite easily go without, but only realise this when you have spent up, and have not much left! I sold my daughters old pram today for £150 which is about $300 and when it was brand new it cost around $700. I now look back and think this is an obscene amount, i only used it for a week or so, as it was too heavy to push. Is there anything you've bought and regretted it later? Or do you also spend too much money in general and dont think about the consequences until afterwards?
