My daughter knows she has to clean it the right way. If she doesnt her father will just pull everything out a make her do it again. She hates that so she does it right the first time.

Oh, they mope, they argue with each other over who's mess it is, that sort of thing. They do not stuff under bed or in closet, because we inspect the work before we announce the job as complete. The inspection includes such places and the closet and under bed.
Currently, when we tell them to clean their room, they do, because they know that they will not get something they want unless they do.

Well I don't have kids but there was a time where my mom would tell me to clean my room and everything went into the closet and under the bed to make it easy. After a while I got sick of it being dirty so I make sure its pretty much spotless everyday!

I think all kids are closet stuffers. The trick is one day ask them the clean their room. The next day ask them to clean the closet. When it get's too bad I break and I clean the closet up! I know I'm a sucker!

My son is 3.5 and he cleans his room by putting everything in his toys hamper or the toy box. He knows to put his books on his shelf and his clothes in the dresser so I am pretty proud of him. I am a neat freak and I think he gets from me which I am happy about.

I don't have kids at home any more but when my daughter was little and I would tell her to clean her room she would ask me who was going to help her. I would ask her who helped make the mess and she would say nobody, so I would say well that is who is going to help you, nobody. She would then go to her room and precede to lay down and take a nap. LOL

My kids keep their room pretty clean because they actually have a playroom to play in. lol But they are actually pretty good about picking up their stuff because they know if they don't it will all be mine. hehehe.

Wow, so I am not the only one who did that. LOL! Just kidding! Yeah I remember those days, I did the same thing or at least tried to. I always wondered how she knew that was were I put everything. Well now that I have kids I understand how she knew. She must have tried it also when she was a kid. My son who is 4 will try it and it never works. I pull it all back out and make him try it again and I do this until his room is clean. You would think he would learn after awhile. Were my 3 year old daughter complains when asked and says "I can't do it by myself, it's too hard". My response to her is normally, "Well you had no problem pulling it out by yourself, so you can clean it by yourself". But of course she never does it and about two to three days later I finally get sick of tripping over the toys to put here clothes in her closet that I will clean the room up myself. I think this is why she does it. She know if she waits long enough mommy will come clean it up for her. UGH!!!
