Do you scratch your back yourself or someone else does it for you?

Oh god!! I got a terrible itch and badly wanted to scratch it hard. Nothing any serious but I just need a scratch. I tried with my right hand over my right shoulder then I tried with my left hand over my left shoulder , then I quickly tried from the side by turning my hand and also with the left. But it didn’t help anyway. I eagerly tried to do it with a pencil and even tried myself rubbing my back against the wall but that didn’t relieve my itching. Thank god and just then my OH and kids returned from the market, and i ran and opened the door as the house got fire and asked her scratch my back. She humbly did after I guided her hand to the right place of the itch. I just have no words for the relief I got.
What do you when your back itches. Do you try yourself or ask someone to scrach it? Did you ever ask someone to do it?

I am itching right now and I need someone to scratch it for me. Unfortunately I am all alone and there is no one outside who I can beg for help. I guess I will just have to wait here till it passes. Perhaps I will contact the back scratching agency tommorrow to see if they can send someone over.

I ususally try to do it myself but sometimes i just get aggrivated because I know that I am getting the spot but with no relief. It has to come down to me asking someone to do it for me and even then sometimes they have to do it a couple of times.

I can totally understand what you are talking about. I also go through this kind of situation sometime. I try to do it myself as far as I can do. But when hubby at home I take help from him. Otherwise it feels so helpless and restless when you can't do it properly. But I don't take help from others, but my hubby.

I can scratch it myself. I don't remember of me asking someone to scratch it for me. I can always reach the place, no matter where it is ;)

Well lets just say I look like an absolute fool when I am trying to itch my back! There seems to be problems with me and getting to those stupid places so I usually ask someone to scratch it for me.
Same thing with lotions, when I tan and I need to put lotion on my back it seems like its absolutely impossible.

I am pretty self reliant when it comes to relieving bodily irritations. If I can not reach the itch I will grab a knitting needle and try that - or if I can not get to a needle fast enough I will go to an outward corner of a wall and rub up and down like a bear on a tree....makes me purr it feels so good!

My back doesn't usually itch. :P
If it does itch, naturally I will scratch it myself. I am not that dependent to get others to do it for me. :PP

I try it myself for a normal itch. But when its terrible I ask somebody else to do it for me. Yes, i have asked many times.

If it is in a place that I can reach I definitely do it myself. Other times I cannot reach and I'll ask someone like my boyfriend to do it. But guiding them to the itch is a pain. Wanna know my secret? hehe If you ever get an itch on your back that you cannot reach, try a hair brush...the kind with the hair plastic bristles! Works wonders.

LOL what a cute dicussion! I often ask my husband to scratch my back for me and I will scratch his too (you know the saying "you scratch my back and I'll scratch your"? hehe)! He always chuckles when I ask him as he says his late mother used to ask him to do that when he was growing up! Sometimes if I have an itch I can't get to when I'm at work I will shove a ruler down my back and have a good scratch or subtly go to the toilet and try to reach the itch by rubbing the wall. I know it sounds funny but it's not as if I'm going to say to my boss "Hey can you help with my itchy back please?" Thanks for starting this fun discussion! x

scratching your own back is really tough when you cant reach the right place of itch. if you both help each other thats really nice. total relief. :)

lol. I scratch my own back. Throughout the years, I have developed my own means to scratch my back - brush, towel, edge of wall, - these are good means. My nieces are also good scratchers.
