What kind of work do you do?

Is your occupation one that you would recommend? Many times we work at jobs that are not satisfying. Do you like your job and what does it entail?. Did you have to study for it or did you learn your occupation while working? I used to work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with disabled individuals and it was a very satisfying occupation. However, I had to get a Masters to be really efficient at it.

I'm currently working as an Accountant at a government agency here in my country. I had to finish with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and pass the CPA board exams to be able to qualify for the job. It's a fairly easy job as what all jobs in the government are. LOL. I don't have to train for it or anything. I wasn't satisfied with my previous two jobs and right now, I've been working at my current work for 3 years. I wouldn't say I'm totally satisfied with it, but it's okay. I'm studying Bachelor of Laws to become a lawyer and so far, this is the only job that can make me work and study at the same time.

More power to you that you continue to study Law. I changed occupations various time and I don't regret it. Yes working for the government is easy because you don't have to train for it if you studied the occupation. However, private industry, in my opinion, is better. Thank you for you response and have a good day.

I run an IT company shared with a few other people. It is very tiring and I had to work long hours. Apart from that, the good things are that I can manage my own time and earn my own living. That means the more i work , the more I would get.

I believe my lot is a place that is very good for learning written English. The better you learn the language the better opportunities you will have in the export field.

I am now a college student, but I am eager to work to earn my own living.I want to be independent from my parents finacially. However,I must study first to get a diploma to make the job interviewer believe that I have the ability to mamage the job I have applied for just as you had to get a master to be effcient at your occupation. But I am still happy to absorb knowledge for my future work.

I love my job and it is not hard other than I do a lot of bending over and it is hard on my back. I work at a nursing home and my job title is Nurses Service Associate. What that entails is when I come in the morning I pass water pitchers to all the residents and give them fresh water. Make sure that their drinking glasses are clean. Then when breakfast gets served I help serve the breakfast trays in the dining room. When I finish with that I make the residents bed and pick up in their room making it look presentable. By the time I am through making beds it is time for my fifteen minute break. After my break I finish what beds are not done. Then at lunch time I help serve the lunch trays. After lunch is served I pass afternoon ice water and make sure that all residents have a full pitcher of ice water. I pick up brushes and combs and clean them twice a week. More if I notice that one is particularly needing cleaning before it is time to do it. I would recommend that this is a very good job that you don't need any special training for and it is a job that is helping people. I read to the residents and help them out where ever I can. I love my job and have been working here for over five years now.

Thank you so much for your reply. It is people like you that make a nursing home enjoyable. I have met some very nice people at the nursing home my daughter is at. She is in a persistent vegetative state and the employees are very nurturing and caring towards her.
