Okay, be honest. When you post a discussion and your get responses...do you read them all or do you skip over there? Or do you only read them if you get a few responses? Would you read them if you looked and there were 30 neww responses?
I know I'll read mine no matter what. I am not here for the money. Sure it's a perk but I really like talking to people. I love to ask questions and get answers. I love being able to give people ideas or help with something they are facing.

If someone takes the time to reply to a discussion that I've started, then by all means, I take the time to comment on their reply, that is, if their reply warrants a comment. So yes, I do read what people have to say. But I'm sure there are a ton of people that start a discussion never to go back and see whether or not anyone has replied, let alone read the replies themselves.

Oh I totally agree. I guarantee that there are more people than we think that just post to post and to try to make money. I try to reply back whenever I can but sometimes I don't have a whole lot to add to what they have to say. But I made sure to always rate the comments.

i get really excited when i get responses to discussions to which i start.i go through each and every one of them and see to that i respond to all of them back.it is really fun to have people sharing their thoughts and views on topics of their interest.we can learn a lot and gain really good knowledge that way.

I too get excited . I love hearing what others have to say. If I didnt care then I probably ewould not post discussions. My lot has a lot of great people and great ideas. I definitely feel like I learn something here every day.

I read most of them. I have to admit if it gets so long I don't always read them all, but I do 99% of the time read every single response.

I appreciate the honesty hun! I mean if someone came in to 30 responses and they were a bit short on time and so forth I could see it happening. I try to be faithful and read them all. Then again I usually don't get TOO many responses. hehe

i make sure that i read all replies to my discussion. i do this because i also make sure to rate everyone who took their time to reply to my discussion. i am guilty that most of the time, i don't get to reply to most of those replies because either i already said what i wanted to say or i don't have anything to important to say, but i do read all of it.

There's nothing wrong with that! It's true that there isn't always something to say to a response. I love rating people. As long as they respond with something relating to the discussion, I give them a "+".

Read! I will always read what is posted. In this way i can get idea and with reading i know hat will i write in here. Without reading, you can't answer all the questions or sometimes the reply would be very far from the discussion. So , my advise is you should read first no matter how long is the discussion. Pay a little respect. Thanks and more power! Goodluck to all!

I definitely read all the responses that I get. I would feel guilty not reading them. Besides it defeats posting a discussion if you're not interested in reading what others have to say. I respect all those who answer my discussion....unless of course they are disrespectful.

I agree. That is what it is supposed to be. But I bet you that there are a lot of people out there who post discussions just for the sake of getting responses and making money. They are doing it for all the wrong reasons.

yea i read them all and leave a comment to their responses. i have skipped some responses without commenting either unitentionally or because the responses didnt make much sense for me. so i do do revist my posts whenever i get time and try to resolve them.

i would certainly read all of the responsese by mylot users. i think i t is impolite if i just ignore or just skip these responses. all i can do is to rate them, of course. positive ratings. and try my best to answer all the responses. i think it is good. and it is also a good way to increase your postings.

I agree with you. I am not really here for the money. I love to ask questions and try to help people with their problems. I haven't started too many discussions but the ones that I have started, I read every single response, and try to respond to each response. If I post a comment on someone else's discussion I go back to see if they commented on me and respond if necessary. Then I wait two weeks or so and pick my favorite. :)

Awesome. Seems like we have similar motives. And I basically do exactly what you do. I do post discussions quite often. Most of it is due to curiosity of what others do or think.

I completely agree. I usually wait a least a few days or so to mark the best response so that others still have time. Sometimes it's really hard to pick the best one!

I'm very new to mylot, and get quite excited when ANYONE responds to a discussion I've started. I read all responses and try to acknowledge them all, but I'm finding that if I sign off and check back the next day, and at that time respond to responses, most of the folks aren't paying attention anymore, y'know? I have only limited time each day to spend on mylot, and am wondering how much more fun it could be if I could talk back and forth to everyone for several hours! I've posted very few discussions, but responded to all that interest me. This is a fun place and I'm glad I wandered into it!

Well, I've only been here for about a week. But I also love this place. I agree that it's great when ANYONE responds. Makes you feel good. I prefer to have 2 or 3 responses but will take only one. haha I do find that waiting til the next day sometimes throws that off. I try to check back and see if people respond back to me but sometimes I forget or it's hard to. I spend a decent time off and all throguhou the day here when I can. I'm soooo addicted.
