Has anyone ever had an EBAY seller not send the item and not respond to emails?

If you paid with Paypal and it was over $25.00 you can file a complaint with Paypal and they can put pressure on them. They did this once for me and I "miraculously" received my item.
If it is less than $25.00, unless you paid by credit card and can "sic" the credit card company on them or get the credit card company to do a charge back, you are kind of out of luck. You can leave negative feedback; but, if they have not left your feedback yet, they can leave negative feedback for you too.
I have been using eBay constantly for more than 3 years now and have had one of each of the above examples happen,
That is why, when I sell on ebay, I always pay a few cents more and provide a tracking number. Selling, I only had one person say they did not get their package and I checked with the Post office and found it had been delivered more than a week earlier and the SPECIFIC time it was left there. When I told the buyer that; she was able to track down one of her grandchildren who had "accepted the package and forgot to tell her".

The tracking number is a great idea, I have been selling also and have never had a non-paying bidder. I am planning on selling a bunch of stuff again and will go that route.

Tracking numbers only cost a few extra pennies and they provide some peace of mind to you and your customer.
With the tracking number they have a way to check and so do you. The Post office does not track as closely as UPS does; but, UPS is usually more expensive for small packages and they can't deliver to a PO Box.

I would recommend you wait unitl you have your refund before you leave any kind of feedback. Once you have your refund then you can leave a calm and factual report on the transaction.

Yes, I have. I hate to leave negative feedback cause there always the possibility that they can leave it in return, and beleve me I had a deadbeat bidder do that exact same thing. I would surely ask for your monies back from Paypal, hopefully you paid there, if not, I would write to eBay Trust and Safety Dept. about this Seller.

Once I bought something from a seller who didn't use pay pal, and wanted a money order instead. After going to a bank to get the money order, and mailing it, I waited and waited. After two weeks, I tried to contact the seller, even tried to call him, and never got any kind of response. I waited for 6 weeks, then gave him a neutral feedback and explained that the seller never answered any emails, or his phone, and I never recieved my item. He finally returned my money order. That was the only time I ever had a problem with anyone from eBay, but now I don't want to deal with anyone unless they use pay pal.

I have always used only paypal sellers and i paid for this through paypal. I went ahead and filed a complaint. Thanks for your input. Ebay is such a great thing, I hate for any one person to sour it for the rest of us.

I am still new to ebay so i haven't had many bitter experience, however last weekend i was quit upset due to one ebay seller who sells gas mask. There is a kid below 18 years old who is really hardcore on military item and would like to purpose 2 or 4 and ask for multiple item shipment discount. He carefully ask twice for comfirmation. Well, since he is still under age, he asked for my help to help him to post the question to the ebay seller. I just send the questions out. However the respond from the seller freaks me out. He said WITH RESPECT, I DO NOT INCLINED TO SELL ANYTHING TO YOU, seeing you have 0 feedback, u are just trying to use me to help u to start off your business.
So, i reply an email to him and explain the truth about the young boy asking my help to post these question to him.
Then he reply again, YOU DO NOT EARNED YOUR RESPECT, PLEASE YOU AND YOUR SON BUY FROM OTHER COMPETITOR.
I am quite sad there are seller with this attitude on ebay.

I have been apart of the ebay community for over 3 years and i have only been scammed 2 times. you just have to watch out for people with low feedback. also paypal is the way to go. I always give the seller atleast 14 days before i file a compaint and then wait a little to see what happens before leaving negative. hate to leave Neg unless it is really nessary
