Do you have a holiday in May Day in your country.

I am now living in shanghai, and my boyfriend and I will have a tour in Beijing in May Day.

i am a chinese .as a student ,we can also enjoy the 7-day holiday .

In Canada we celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday, the 24th of May. Well we take the monday closest to that day off. Queen Victoria was a queen of England and the city I live in was also named for her.

In May the legal holiday in our country is the Labor Day. It is celebrated May 1. Since it's labor day most workers stage a rally in different part of the country exalting the government on providing better salary and working condition of the workers. It is usually a peaceful rally. It's a good way fro worker to voice out their grievances.

Last year, I went to seaside on Labor Day holiday. Too many peoples on the seaside ,just like "cook dumpling". This year,I think I have to stay at home as my husband may overwork on holiday. It won't be a bad way to spend time as every travel site worth to see will be crowded in holidays,we always feel disappointed about that. So we decide to travel in non-holidays so that we can get more fun.
