Do you think there is just far too much publicity given to these incidents?
As soon as the next mentally disturbed person decides to commit suicide the reasoning will be......."If i'm going to die anyway, why not take as many people with me as I can?"
That way, for the first time in their pathetic lives they will get the attention they have always been lacking.
Do you think the media "glorifies" these events far too much and as a result is one of the causes of the next incident?

I do think there is far too much publicity when these things occur. they even show things that happened years ago. they also point out how big it is or which category it falls into. I think when they make a big deal about how big it is, it only sets a new goal for the next person who decides to go on a killing spree. I think the media makes excuses for the murderers. They give them some kind of justification for their acts. I do believe the next person who does, will know they will be justified for their actions.

It does seem like each time this happens, that this one is trying to outdo the last one.
I sure hope that is not what is happening.

I thought NBC in particular and the rest of the media in general was very irresponsible in repeatedly showing the video of the killer.
They made him look like some kind of bad guy action figure.
I could definately see how some unstable person could relate to his ramblings and video and and want to repeat his actions.
I truly hope this doesn't happen.

mentally disturbed people do not do what other people do, or suggest, that is a false misconception. They are mentally disturbed because they do not rationalize like other people. They have cognitive problems, their logic is flawed.
you could wear a blue suit and that could be the trigger for a deranged episode,
we cannot blame the media for insanity.
