The student who shot dead at least 30 people at Virginia Tech sent a package to the US TV network NBC News on the day of the shootings, police said.
The package contained "disturbing" photographs, video and writings, NBC said, posted from the college campus between the two rounds of killings.
Cho Seung-hui is shown pointing guns at the camera, and ranting angrily. shown on NBC Nightly News. "But you decided to spill my blood. You forced me into a corner and gave me only one option. The decision was yours. Now you have blood on your hands that will never wash off," Cho said.
"I didn't have to do this. I
A total of 33 people, including the gunman himself, died in shootings at two locations on Monday.
"You had a hundred billion chances and ways to have avoided today," the 23-year-old gunman said angrily, in an excerpt could have left. I could have fled. But now I will no longer run," the gunman said. Col Steve Flaherty, superintendent of the Virginia State Police, said that the multimedia package "may be a very new, critical component of this investigation". "We're in the process right now of attempting to analyse and evaluate its worth," he said. Police have also revealed that Cho was admitted to a mental health unit in late 2005. He was sent for evaluation after two female students made complaints against him, they said.

This is all so crazy and seems unreal. But at the same time it's so real and can happen anywhere. I feel for those who lost their lives and their families. I haven't seen or heard anything about the package until now. I'm going to have to go check cnn and other news sources.

You could see by the video that he was in anger and his emotions were at their peak. Most call him bad and inhuman. But how many of us see that he too was just another normal person just like any of us and just wanted to be a part of the gang, just wanted to be accepted and loved ,just like the rest of us.but for all i know Cho never got any of that.he was badly treated and even molested!!!!

It's just a very weird and twisted story. How he could do that to people is beyond me but as they have said he did have a mental illness that obviously wasn't treated. My heart goes out to all those families. It's bad enough to lose a family member but when it's in a tragic situation like this it must be even harder.

I dread all of the hype this "multimedia package" is going to receive. You can be sure that the press is going to have a field day with whatever police leak to them. I'm sure this scenario will also make it's way into all manner of cruel jokes and "viral videos" a la youtube. *shudder*
