What do you consider is too much time to be on the computer? Is there such thing as too much time?

Someone said that too much time is when you start to neglect food and water then that is too much time, but I would go a step further and say that if you neglect using the bathroom because you're too into what you're doing that's an indication that you have a serious problem.
Also if you have more friends online then you do in real life you might have a problem.
If you close your eyes and see your computer screen, you have a problem.

I would consider it too much when it starts to interfere with your life. If you are spending all your time here on Mylot or other websites and neglecting your duties, that is too much. If you are neglecting your relationships, that is really bad. If you feel anxious when you can't get to a computer, then it's too much. I know with me, I will go through periods where I will be on the computer all the time. Then, I will get sick of it and be on the computer very little.

I have heard my dad refer to the internet and computers as WWW (a World Wide Waste of time) on many levels I concur. You can find just about anything online and learn so much but it is incredibly easy to get lost and just surf around. Learning limits are so important since the net never closes.

Too much time in my opinion would be when you look at the computer screen, and your eyes feel sore. i have had this feeling before. not because I was hanging out on the internet for too long, but because pretty much every waking moment that I have is on the computer for my work. I do get breaks like when I am on lunch break, or sometimes in a meeting, but for the most part my entire day is filled with this computer screen. I usually do not have a problem, but on those days when I have to pull 16 hours it can definately become a pest.
