My country.. haha.. our country too.. =P
when I looked back at Indonesia.. I just feel very sad. even we paid for everything, live, oil, shops.. But it's all disappeared.. the government corupt our money.. we have a lot of treasures.. gold, diamond, oil.. but we still became a poor country.. doesn't it make sense?? Indonesia could become a rich country.. with smart people.. but still.. how can they be a government? with only money brain!

I am from the Philippines, I have not been to Indonesia and from my country i do not hear news about your country except only if the news is like tragic calamities that concerns all. Anyways, to answer your question, what comes to my mind when the word Indonesia comes up is Bali!
I saw the place in one of the famous Korean drama series which was shown here in the Philippines 2 years ago, i think. Bali beaches looks really awesome! They look like most of our beaches hehehehe.

The first things that come to my mind are rice, happy children playing in the street, singing from the mosques and long uncomfortable bus journeys. I went to the island of Sumatra. I really liked seeing the pretty little houses with such steep and unusual looking roofs. I took a trip over there from Singapore and then I went to Malaysia.

Nice comment, ifnalife. But although sad to saying this, I agree with you. We just starting to ruin our next generations step by step. Sad..

Hi! Lots of beautiful handwoven shawls and "malongs". I heard Indonesia has plenty of these things for very low prices. I would like to visit your place and see for myself. Thanks and have a nice day.

I am from the Philippines and Indonesia is actually a neighboring country. It is sad to note that Filipinos and Indonesians do not have much formal interaction in the social, cultural and even economic affairs (I know that there are backdoor economics and backdoor migration). Closer ties should be developed between these two countries. Many Filipinos does not know anything about Indonesia or about Indonesian affairs. Filipinos know so much about USA and Americans. We, Filipinos and Indonesians, should endeavour to work this out.
