I think I stopped burping him around that time as well. It's when they can sit up unassisted. They don't really need burping much any more after that. Their food is able to better settle in their little tummies when they can just sit up by themselves after meals.

same here! my daughter didn't burp at all after 6 months!
and as soon as the bottle is empty she cannot sit still anymore so i can not even try it.
and after the evening bottle she falls asleep after finishing it, so no burping either!

I don't really remember. It was probably around the same time he started really eating food. Like he learned how to regulate himself so that he wasn't swallowing all the air. He's 16 months now and still uses a bottle sometimes, but we only burp him if he's been chugging the bottle. Usually he just gets out a good burp on his own.
I remember now - we stopped trying to burp him when he'd look at us and say "burp." Then he'd laugh. LOL!

I was still burping my baby when he was 7 months old because he just couldn't get them out by himself. We started slowly trying to see if he would be he would always get sick when he finally burped. We ended up ending them at about 8 months and he does fine now.

My daughter is 5 1/2 months and I still burp her but not half way through the bottle anymore, just at the end. She seems to be able to burp on her own most of the time. And I totally stopped burping her at night feedings, I just leave her in her crib to drink her bottle so she doesn't get too stimulated and she is able to go back to sleep easily.

I stop burping my baby when she is 6 months old. But still i see to it after she eats or drink her milk, that she will not play or moves vigorously in an half hour. because sometimes she put out what she eats or drink.
