Indonesian music industry and the evolution

Began from around the millenium era, the Indonesian music industry start to thrive. Many bands rising as the new Indonesian stars such as Dewa 19,Peterpan, Slank,Padi and others. In the 2006-2007, there is Ungu, Samsons, Nidji, Letto, Naff that has become the Indonesian rising star bands now. I think Most of Indonesian bands songs is ballad theme. Others that succeded in the solo carier like Bunga Citra Lestari, Rossa, Judika, Glen Fredly, etc.
I love punk and ballad better that any kind of music,
for punk maybe SID or superglad, Endank Soekamti is good too..

Indonesian music is full of bands. That's for sure. From year to year, there will always be a band as favorites. Only the taste is different from year to year. In 2004, the year for rock band like Peterpan, Sheila on 7. In year 2005, the year for reggae band ( i don't quite remember their genre of music) like Tipe-X. In year 2006, the year for slow ballad band like Letto, Samsons, Kerispatih. But there are always band. Solo carier are not much these days. For me i like slow ballad song and simple song like the one that Letto had. It's simple melody and simple lyrics, but very easy to hear.
