CSI LAS VEGAS Last season?

I don't how many seasons exactly the original csi has. but now i keep hearing from the ads, csi las vegas last season. is this true? it's the last season for my favorite csi gang? no! please tell me it ain't true. can someone tell me more about this?

I haven't heard this and really couldn't see it going anywhere just yet, but I wouldn't fully discount that its the last season either. I haven't read anything that tells me it is and you'd think you'd have heard by now if it was.

Most of the cast have signed on for an eighth season already. William Peterson will not be in every episode as he will be doing filming and stage work in Chicago. Next season will likely be his last.

no way!! i love william peterson! as more and more people here have responded to my message i am convince that what they said on tv was just for marketing purposes. .thank you guys!! i love csi. but why william? i dont want him to leave. his character is my favorite!! sigh...

William Peterson apparently has been more and more disatisfied with the direction the show is taking. He doesn't think the show should be about the characters -- it should be about the science (sort of sounds like Grissom talking). He was also unhappy about the spinoffs, saying that having three CSI shows meant that the good plots would have to be shared out and that each of the shows would have a greater number of 'weak' episodes. Finally, I think Peterson is getting tired of television and would like to get back into stage and big screen. He is spending more time in Chicago, his home town, and is even appearing in commercials for that city's 2016 Olympic bid.

I like the CSI L.A most, not just because of the plots, but the guys and the lab also. I really hope it won't stop and the players not leave either.

I hope not. I love all of the CSI shows and I do not want any of them to go anywhere, but I hate commercials, so I mute the tv when they are on. I will have to actually listen to them and find out what I can.

I like CSI for its story and hope that it won't end soon. We're still watching the 6th season here, and as far as i've heard there's the 7th season already, which i hope, is not the last. But with William Petersen gone, it's gonna be difficult watching it. I did not like the season when they split the CSI gang. I guess, William Peterson is right as Chuck said earlier in the discussion, that they should focus more on the crime story and how they were able to solve it, not so much on the CSI characters, well a liitle bit.

I haven't heard anything about the series ending, and I hope it doesn't! It is by far the best of the CSI shows, I don't watch either of the others. I did like the episode where they introduced the Miami crew, but I wish they hadn't went through with the spinoffs. If any of the CSIs go off the air, I hope its the other two.
As for Grissom leaving the show, its just not the same without him. I really don't want him to go, but if what "chuckt9881" said is true, I can understand why William Peterson would want to leace. I may not watch it without him on though. When he went on sabbatical earlier in the season, I didn't like those episodes without him.

This is the first I'd heard of it. I hope it's not true. I really do enjoy the show and would like to see it continue. It could be though that some of the actors don't want to continue. I would hope not but it does happen. I will have to keep my ear open to see if there is anything more about this and whether it's true or not.
