Once you start using credit card, the bank would track youe expenditure pattern and start luring you until you fall into their trap.Once in their claw they would start milching giving one reason or other.

I use my credit card hevaily and will use it whenever the outlet accept it. I have 5 credit cards and I only actively use 2 out of the 5 cards. The reason for me to use the 2 active cards is that they are co branded card and I will be given discount when I use the card to buy their products. One of the co branded card is with a petrol company and it help me to save up to 10%, and the other one is with an airline, it help me to accumulate mileages for air ticket. The other 3 cards are more for standby, just in case my credit limit is max out, I can use it when I really need it.

Do you pay back the entire amount soon or avail credit and pay them in parts-EMI?If you pay them in parts then you wuld be paying them more than what you save.A quick math would help.

I have always been tempted of getting a credit card since I started working. But my parents and my boyfriend always give me their cold shoulders every time I open up that topic. They know credit cards are helpful somehow, but they are very firm in laying down to me the disadvantages of getting one, especially if I would be very indulged in it. And besides, I've seen the dilemma of my colleague before who happened to have a credit card bill summed up to some Php 45,000 or roughly US$ 958 for just a month... :( She did have bad headaches on how to get all those bills settled, and add to that her husband who was in the very first place against her getting a credit card... huhuhu :(
