some of my friends have already got drive license, some of them are training for it and taking the driving test soon.i just suddenly hit on a question that if you get to be very rich and own an expensive car(maybe more than one),will you hire a driver to do the driving work for you?or you enjoy driving actually?

I'll probably drive my own car, I don't want a driver, I don't wanna be dependent to other people to get somewhere, I enjoy my freedom... And since I'll get to be very rich, I would buy a real nice car and it wouldn't hurt to show off a little... hehehe! What greater way can you show it off than driving it yourself, right? :-P

when i was young before i got my dl and after i loved it then when i became a parent i hated it. i am always begging hubby to go since i know he will drive and i just like being with him. i hate to go to the store or anything. i just hate driving all the way around. now like is aid when i was younger i loved it. i would be the first to yell i will go to the store for you just so i could drive. i loved the feeling. now if i could drive like i wanted and not worry about speed i would love to drive. i like going 100 and zipping around still. but the tickets are not something i want so driving is boring, peopel around me cant drive alot of times, i hate red lights that last forever. enjoy it while you can when you get to have kids and stuff it isnt as much fun. it turns into a job

Before I got my driving licence, I always wanted to be able to drive. After I got my licence, and got to drive, I changed my mind. I prefer to be driven. A driver often has to work overtime, sending everyone home, especially the ladies and ended up being the last one to be home, no matter how tired he was. A driver has to take care of his passengers and ensure their "well-being" and safety while taking care of other driver's safety as well. I am spared of all these "burdens" if I am being driven :P

i rather drive my car by myself.I don't want someone touch or drive my expensive car that i bought by my own hardwork. But if my father want to drive it, i'll let him drive. I'll hired a driver but not for me, it for my parent. You know when they get older their view is not good than before so they need a driver to drive them around when they want to go out or go back to our hometown.

I have got my driving licence more than 7 years, but hardly drive on the motorway as the speed limit is too high that I just feel uncomfortable. I prefer to drive in a moderate speed like 60-80 miles per hour. In fact I don't like driving, I rather have a driver to drive for me. So if possible, I always leave my hubby to drive. I drive is because no option - I have to take my daughter to school.:-(

i prefer to have a driver than to drive it myself.. because.. if i have a driver.. it shows that i have power and money.. i know i sound a little money minded.. but that's the truth.. who wouldn't want a driver? only rich person can afford a driver isn't it? but sometimes it's quite risky to have a driver also.. if they combine with outsiders to kidnap you.. then you'll just be in trouble.. isn't that right? and by the way.. i don't own a driving license yet.. haha :D .. i failed my driving test :(.. the officer wants some bribe.. and i can't give it.. sobz

I donĀ“t like driving. I have got a driving license many years ago (as a matter of fact, as soon as I could get it), but I don't own a car. Yes, one of my fantasies is to have a driver. If I'm not rich enough (most probable thing) I hope my son will accept to do it when I ask him.

I hate to drive, and it is funny, I used to love to drive and before I started hating it I was on a sports car kick, buying a new red sportscar every year, then I moved to Philadelphia and lived in the city and could not own a car and started taking trains and subways every where I wanted to go, at that point I hated driving, I would rather have anyone drive than me, it is not that I am scared or anything I just don't enjoy it, I don't enjoy anything about it. These days I still do not own a car and will do anything to not drive, it drives my boyfriend crazy but I just don't enjoy it anymore. If I could have it my way I would have a driver full time .. well I almost do.

I would like to have a Driver if i am in India and i will drive myself if i am some where in the United States of America. I will save some bucks by not having a driver.
where as in India its difficult to drive in the traffic conditions that prevail here. So i will opt for a driver.

lol, ok, am day dreaming here, right? lf i suddenly became rich, l would love to hire a driver. Wealth will surely bring you to another level of life (status) So one of the ways to show my new status should be buy hiring a driver. l would be going out more often, so l guess l wouldnt be energtic enough to do all the drivings.
But at this my level, lol, l should be driving by myself.
Cheers

I love driving, i first thought it was just the initial newness, when i first past my driving test, i was always in my car and drove all around! But as it became less of a novelty, i didnt drive as much but i enjoy it just the same!
I dont know if i could have someone else drive for me, except for the times when i would be going out and use a taxi, i would get my driver to do it for me then!

i'd rather drive by myself. having a driver is only for those rich people who think they're too good to drive themselves.

As a status symbol the rich keeps rather has to keep a chauffeur. Others enjoy driving. After all it is a skill not very difficult to acquire. But, u must be thorough in traffic rules and should have a fair knowledge on the functions of the machineries of the vehicle you are driving and small mending work of them as well.

I think it's good to learn how to drive. Then get a driver. Then when you feel like it, take over the wheel from him.

I think it's cool to drive my own car but I have no knowledge about driving so if I was a given a choice in that situation, I would prefer to have a driver instead so I can focus on the thing I want to do instead of focusing on the traffics in the street. I think it's also cool to have my own driver. I can look like a rich girl if I will have one ha ha ha!

I love driving by myself. I'm actually rather uptight when someone else is driving (according to my girlfriend). In my experience, there are far too many people on the road that don't belong there (drunks, bad drivers, etc) and I would much rather be at the wheel than to trust someone else with it.
Even if I was totally loaded, I would still want to be able to drive myself. For one, it's silly to spend money on something like that because you can do it yourself. If I was older and unable to drive safely, then of course, I'd hire a driver without skipping a beat.
There are better things you can do with your money. The only reason I could think of hiring a driver would be to drive when I couldn't. An example would be if myself and my wife (assuming I'm married) were both busy and the children (which I hope to eventually have) or dogs needed to be taken somewhere. I'd have a driver on hand to take care of that sort of thing.

I would drive, its not that i particularly enjoy driving, I just dont trust anybody else to do it for me. Even when I go with a friend in their car, they know...they hop right into the passenger seat and give me the keys. I think the last time I was a passenger was when I gave birth, I obviously couldnt drive there, and my mother wouldnt let me drive myself home. That was worse than the entire hospital stay!
