I agree, it's not a requirement to go to Church. But then again I see the difference in my own life when I don't. I start getting sluggish, so to speak, my battery is dying. You know what I mean? This might be way out there--but what if a med student stops going to school, can he still practise medicine? Is that a reach? Anyhow, we need church to learn (and we must always be learning), we need the fellowship. It's a privelage to be able to go.

This is a very relevent question. The easy answer is no you are not saved by going to church, and in fact it is extremely difficult for some people to get to church. Having said this, there is a clear instruction in the word to "not neglect to meet together as some are in the habit of doing". If at all possible, we should try to get to church so that we may support and build up each other. Also remember that the church is the body of believers, not a building.

sitting in a church no more makes a Christian out of you than sitting in a garrage will make you a car !a Christian is mesured by the content of the heart not where he/she wears or where they go!many of todays churches worship the almighty dollar not the almighty GOD!

To me it's the way you live, not whether or not you go into a church. Throughout history, people who have attended church have not always been found to be good.
If you help others when you can, and you make a difference, I don't feel that it matters whether you ever enter a church, or if you call yourself religious or atheist. If you can make a positive difference to the lives of those who ask for your help, you are living in harmony with those around you. One thing I have noticed, is that people who are in conflict with others constantly are rarely content. It's a shame because if they did some good, they would be aware of happiness they would generate and live a more contented life.
