i am really angry to these politicians in GO lineup and leadership. why? before the campaign started there is this widespread news about the composition of this lineup, a leader of GO said that, "we will assure that the lineup will surely vote for Gloria Arroyo out of MalacaƱang" by impeacement of course. and even now that they are campaigning they really want the people know that they are there to oust the President. i am not a supporter of Gloria Arroyo but i will rather vote for those who campaign right, have a true heart on what they say they gonna do when they were voted and i will not vote for those you only have their own or group agenda.
what will happen if Gloria was oust? who will take the thrown? Noli de castro? ERAP? or the worst, Susan Rocess??? what country would that be..

sorry, but i will vote for GO straight. i am tired of GMA and i really want her impeached. i want her jailed for the rest of her life along with her family. she is a liar. she always boasts of growing economy and always talks of more foreign investments. hello!!!! the prices of basic goods and services are continuously soaring up high! quality of education is deteriorating each day because she does not allocate enough funds. she allocates more and more funds for her cabinet members and congressional allies, and for the military because she is very, very afraid of impeachment. more and more people are pointing at General(?_)Pagbilaran as the culprit on the extra-judicial killings, and what did she do? She even promoted( or appointed, whatever) him for an important position in the government! My goodness! She should have relieved that guy first until proven not guilty before promoting him. She does not care for people who are not of her level in society. She only cares for herself and the pockets of those politicians who clap with her. And, her reign has bought Philippines as the NO.1 Most Corrupt country in Asia! She is worse than Marcos. She's the worst president this country has ever had. Period!

You are right! I just hope that there will be more like you who open their eyes to reality! Enough to liars in our society that says our nation is fast growing and leaving Singapore and Malaysia behind!

I could say that I would vote for Go especially Noynoy since his not corrupt officials like his dad and his mom. I could say that Go candidate like Manny Villar is also a good politicians and he doesnt corrupt people's money but even give projects here in our place. I consider Team Unity candidates like Chavit no good for senate. They just wanted to hold higher office so they could monopolized the government. Since as far as I know am tired of E-vat and corruption in our country and people here in our country are getting poorer in times of Arroyo administration. I agree that Marcos was even better President than she is. As I could even see lots of help coming from Marcos before in rural areas than in her administration.

I agree.. chavit will do no good in the senate. while the campaign period is running, many things had happened to him like the plane crash and all that stuff.. I somewhat think that it is all planned to make his name fragrant looking he he

i won't vote for any GO candidate. sorry for saying so. i am not much an arroyo fan, too. but i think even if gloria had been through lots of ups and downs during her term, i see lots of developments in the economy. i know people notice that... even the GO candidates. it's just that most of them are just into selfish plans...
taking gloria out of her spot? why? sad that most pinoys are only looking into the negativities of people. they don't look at the positive things the person had brought into the country.
some just know how to boycot every president there is. let us face it... even america and other super power countries cannot have a perfect president. we ourselves aren't perfect. there will always be flaws and imperfections.
let's always look at how gloria tried to do good for the country. sure, she isn't the best of the best but as for now, she is doing great with her job. let her do what she should do...

i agree to you both. don't we all think that there's are lots of problems in the philippines to face than just focus on putting down the present president? won't people just be happy that the philippines is slowly progressing?
true... rally here, rally there.. put down gloria signs everywhere.. after that? what? i mean, there are peole who do not know why they are with the group rallying. if you just ask one by one their reasons to it. that's so sad. people being used in many ways.
happy myLotting anyway.

You know, I agree with you. Sure, GMA has her faults. But there ARE improvements, which is more than what I can say with her predecessor. Rome wasn't built in a day, so any improvements should be realized little by little. We, the people, also have to do our part, and, unfortunately, most of us don't realize that. We just hear of people complaining and complaining about the present system, but they are not doing anything beyond complaining. I'd say leave Gloria alone, let her do her job. She still has three years -- let her complete it. It's hard to do a job when people are always harassing you. She should, however, stop politicking and just do her job.
Unfortunately, some of the better candidates are with GO (not all though). I just hope they will have a better platform than "impeach Gloria".

Relax mga friends, don't be antagonistic... ok you tell us not to vote for GO and asks who will replace GMA? and seems to me that you can't find anyone in the GO who could possibly replace her and you even mention Susan Roces. Susan is not running for any position, in case u don't know. If you think that GMA is LESSER EVIL than the GO candidates then go ahead and vote for those politicians who supports GMA. Each of us have different opinions and your title ignites us to react differently. Let us respect the opinions of each and everyone and do our part in guarding our votes.

dear everlasting.. where are the evidences that the opposition were saying? i thought they have a ROOM FULL OF EVIDENCE to impeach the president.. but they don't have even a piece of paper that can be shown to the public... tsk tsk tsk!
all they do is appear to the TV news and say that there are "lots of evidences we have so we must oust Gloria" and calling for people to stand against the administration..isn't this a call for people to make another disastrous people power just like when they hit malacaƱang?
but sorry for them, majority of US doens't go well with this kind of game they play, because many of Filipinos now are intelligent, and for those who were played by the opposition's game? im sure there's money behind it... tsk tsk tsk!!!

Of course, ousting GMA is just one of those which will be done. Gloria Arroyo is an obstacle to the progress of the Philippines and the Filipinos as well. These people who are not on top have vested interests and they will keep on working for their own personal interests.

I admit that GO has a lot of shortcomings in their line-up and proclamations, but despite my misgivings, I still go for GO. Because if not GO, then who? I don't really think we are given much choice in this matter. I would just like to ask if you are campaigning for Unity. After all, despite our multiparty system, there really is only 2 great powers in the electoral campaign.
If GO is bad, TU for me is worse. Whatever shortcomings GO has shown, I think TU has portrayed in proportions. I mean, come on, Chavit? Pichay? I remember the latter campaigning once for senate abolition, and yet here he is now... Another thing are the actors. SHeez...
Also, I think it is important to distinguish formal declaration from spontaneous statements. I think the declaration regarding ousting of GMA is more of the latter. I think you better review your stand, remove yourself from bias (the anger you felt on the announcement), and objectify. Because I think you are just being overrun by your irritation to the statement right now.
And also, you are in no position to prescribe a course of action.

No. i am not a supporter of Team Unity..actually i really do not know if i will still vote this coming election, because whatever the result would be, Go or TU win there will be no change in our country, a lot of these tradional politicians run because of their own agenda, to benefit their selves from the power they get.. If GO win then they will have the opportunity to take advantage of the power and vice versa for TU.. if the president will be ousted then the next president will be in power to get more corruption... and so it goes once again, our country cycles these process leaving the little people that they should serve behind ultimate poverty...

I am not sure if I am going to vote this coming elections because honestly, I feel that we're just putting different faces, but the system is not going to change. If I will be voting, I will choose candidates based on past performance and qualifications. I am not going to vote based on which party they belong to. I have some candidates in mind who belong to TU, some belong to GO.

GO candidates have more better agenda and i suggest you try to digest some of them and dont let the pronouncement of ousting Gloria be a reason for you to declare not to vote for GO. I still vote for GO and no one can ever change my mind for that not those liars who tells us that we have a good economy under GMA's leadership and that we left behind our neighboring country. Liars are rampant these days and don't get fooled by them!

Well if that is your opinion then go. You can't tell people whom they want to vote nor force them to vote what you want. Why are you mad at GO's lineup because they are oppositions. They keep on battling the President, her administration. What is politics without oppositions, in leadership without oppositions? To tell you oppositions are the eyes of the masses. We can't see what is happening in our government without the oppositions. By top bets for senate seat are all from GO and 1 independent. They have shown their integrity to serve the country.
Don't judge those people because of what you've seen or heard. Their abilities and capabilities may lead our country into a better look. Mind you di ba.

For those who lost faith in voting, I suggest you read my post on "To vote or not to vote"
The discussion there is quite enlightening. Several people there have plenty of good justification WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE, despite the candidates shortcomings and our consequent misgivings.
